First of all, this is a very inspiring and talented attempt on interpretating this new masterpiece from Muse. Second of all, i know exactly what you mean in the description. The music from Muse is very diverse and at the same time they have this special trademark in their songs which gives them their own special sound (voice, chords, riffs etc.). That combination also really affects me then i am listening to Muse. Third of all, keep doing this amazing interpretation work!
I love this, especially with the flashbacks, could almost see it like a tribute to the band once they retire. It would be fitting as it's probably the most "muse" song in that it kind of has elements of a lot of their previous work e.g. MotP, City of Delusion, Bliss, KoC, MK Ultra etc...
I think the chorus deserves more power! A stronger attack on the piano and voice would still be suited for that alternate reality version. :) Very nice attempt!
