19:14 No, Sans tried to attack Frisk, Gaster just got in the way because he needs Frisk and Chara to stay unharm. Chara is probably smiling because they know they are getting really close to find the limit of what Gaster can do.
19:43 Since Gaster can't overwrite anymore(since he gave his half of his soul to Ink) he used the half he has of Chara soul to go back in time to before Sans atacked Frisk in order to keep the world going whitout Chara interference. Frisk is so surprised because he wasn't specting Gaster to reset instead of overwrite while Chara is calm because he was already suspecting Gaster can't overwrite any more.
26:52 Sans isn't fighting for Gaster, he just isn't willing to give control to neither Chara or Gaster, he just wants to just keep the world the same as it was.
29:52 yes, Sans killed everyone, including Papyrus, on his own volition, thinking that he would be able to bring them back once he takes Chara soul, but once he realized he couldn't, the guilt of what he had done cach up to him.

I know that XGaster won in the end of season 1 to underverse. But I just love seeing him scared, I don't know why, but it just does. It just brings me a smile.

I noticed that nobody let you know what Alphys was writing every time she was taking notes, it doesn’t need to be translated because she’s just writing down what Gaster is saying, and it’s the same for when she was taking her own notes. Hopefully this helps so you don’t have to worry if you missed something important or not.😁
I imagine this was pretty confusing without having read the comic lol, that was out long before the XTale video series even started, so I've always seen XTale X as meant to fill in the gaps of the comic, not the other way around. You still pretty much got the gist of it tho? Don't want to say too much before you've read the comic obviously

It's funny that at first Cross did not want to be called by that name. He always repeated that his name was Sans, not Cross. But after some time, he now on the contrary hates being called Sans

I will say this, X is probably the second most confusing animation in the entire series (The first being Owners). It's highly recommended you read the comic. It tells the exact same story just from a different perspective, Cross'. But even with the comic you have to be very knowledgeable of how Xtale works prior.

Woah, This episode really hits everytime I watch it but yeah, Frisk basically want to provoke Xgaster here, still trying to escape from him and welp, the more he did, the more Gaster saw... some things, vision of some sorts (you will find out soon *wink wink* XD) just like how he saw how he 'died'.
Cross was really having an existential crisis here while Frisk was trying to convince him to turn on Gaster (just like on the other timelines frisk believes on sans being his best friend, relying on him like old times) even though he can't be blamed for being confused, he was naive to think that gaster won't do anything to their world anymore, refusing frisk on what they want to do. When frisk brought back all of their memories back, cross still refused to help even when the others persuade him causing some rational decisions like... wanting to use frisk soul to bring the world back to 'normal'. Too bad that didn't work, now he is burdened with the fact that he killed his friends and now their timeline was dead.
Cross is neither a villain and a hero, he just really want everything to come back to normal making him really easy to be controlled by chara. Very complicated shit but so so good~

I think sans helping frisk would have changed the path into something that xgaster didnt want, so he stopped sans and path went to what xgaster wanted again
In the end, X!Gaster said I am watching you in WingDings, it was pretty hard to find out, But I found myself.
If you want to understand this episode way better, you should check out the comic, which plays during this episode, but in the view of Cross. Some specific scenes are getting explained there better too, for example „Why did Undyne attack Cross in this one scene?“
From what I've seen it's basically like dusttale Cross didnt want Gaster or Frisk controlling the world because he didnt trust them so he killed everyone and absorbed Frisks soul so he could use overwrite himself. The intresting thing is what Gaster says the fact that Cross can't use overwrite much like dust sans can't use rest. This implies that Gaster was hoping for a outcome like this so the experiment wouldn't be able to use the power on him all this time Frisk/Chara thought they were working towards freedom but in reality they were playing right into Gasters hands. Now time for session 2 there's only been 2 episodes but they have been awesome you'll see some old faces and a lot of new ones enjoy

I am intrinsically biased for Cross so I would like to offer why I think he did that. I think Cross believed he could overwrite everyone back to normal so he killed everyone, because they were all trying to kill him. It wouldn't matter because they weren't themselves, and would be restored to normal in a second anyway. In addition, they were fighting for Frisk who Cross is rather unhappy with. They would be no issue to Cross or fight for Frisk. Also, Frisk was trying to overwrite Cross to fight for him anyway which meant his code was rather different than normal. It said his core code was regenerating so he had a resistance to the effects of the overwrite, but it would affect him for a while before he would return to normal. This is shown mostly in the scene at the World Peace Ceremony where he attacks everyone, and then immediately realizes what he did and that he wasn't the one who had done it. I think he only had some of his normal code when he went crazy. He attacked his family because he believed it the fastest solution in order to return them to normal. But that didn't happened, Welcome to underverse! Cross trying to fix his mistake and making his own SAME timeline for him to be happy again!
