have never been see any fish "rescue" thats literally amazing
I'm just stunning, right 😁😁👍👍
I had no idea that a fish could appreciate anything.
@HollyDutton-wz8fe Now you know! Every living creature has feelings. It's always a good day when you learn something new.
@@HollyDutton-wz8fe same wallah same
@@HollyDutton-wz8fe. I had one as a teenager that I was crazy about. (This was 55 years ago.). When I bought him, he was the most beautiful, colorful betta I had ever seen. His body was red and blue with a monstrous tail that was predominantly blue with bright red veining. Just gorgeous. He made me think of a traditional soldier in uniform, like the Nutcracker wears. The young man I was dating (and later married) last name was/is Dutton. I named my betta Dutton Major. Like the fish in this video, he interacted with everyone but he seemed to respond to me the most. He lived in a planted 10 gallon tank with Neon tetras and a Cory cat named Cory. Good times!
It’s actually really common for blue marble bettas to start white and get totally blue as they age. But she definitely is doing right by that fish, and he’s gotten so healthy in her care! I love seeing more people get passionate about humane fish care 😊 Fish are amazing creatures too
This is great to know! I always thought it was just from my beta being in a better environment.
Bettas are wonderful and so beautiful!
@@Emnms68could be a bit of both. The drastic color change is a genetic thing, but their colors in general definitely brighten up a ton after they’re moved into better environments.
Thank you so much for taking this innocent fish out of his prison in a cup and giving him a rich and healthy environment, and importantly, your love. It’s beautiful. Stevie is beautiful.
I had this same exact kinda of experience with my beta. He was all neglected and pale and sad and then sprang to life with the environment and food I provided him 😊
This is beautiful! Imagine if all of us began to give & show that same love toward our fellow human beings ❤
Yup and most pet shops have them in these tiny Lil bowls or bags
Yes me to! We named ours Kasper because he was white as a ghost when we picked him out. After a few months he became a beautiful blue 💙 sadly we lost him to dropsy 😢
@@kaylateeuwen I got a betta from a pet store a while ago, and two months later he died of dropsy as well. He colored up so much in my tank like Kasper did for you. While Kasper may have died early, it is obvious you gave him a very comfortable and happy life.
Must’ve been SO depressing in the cup. Only able to see white walls. Thank you for rescuing him!💕
The cup is cruel
Everyone deserves love. EVERYONE.
His goth lipstick is so freaking adorable! Stevie really has bloomed, it's shocking that retailers get away with keeping living creatures in conditions so terrible.
Stevie was so happy!! He changed colors!! What a Beautiful Looking Fish!!
My husband loved these fish and I miss him so much, I lost him to cancer and this story really made me happy thank you❤❤
🙏Glad you're able to feel your connection to him strengthen through reminder something he loved, without it needing to be physical.
I'm sorry for your loss, but happy for your memories and time with him. There will always be piece of you in their heart, even If they aren't here anymore, remember to take care of yourself.
My condolences no matter how long it's been.
Fish get cancer? How did you get that diagnosis? Sorry for your loss
He will be waiting for you
😢 sorry
I love the way she talks about stevie
What an emotional and sweet fish. Thank you for saving and changing his life.
I just love these 'fish stories'😅😅 where the rescued fish becomes colorful! Glad some unique people do this 😊
Fish need love too he's beautiful ❤❤❤❤
Makes U NEVER want to eat Fish again !
Such a pretty fish. Glad he has a good home now.
he's a gorgeous dude! bravo mama. how we treat animals says so much about us!
Stevie your a beauty. ❤
God bless you for recognizing the effect that stress was having on Stevie and bringing him home. It looks like he’s living his best life. He is absolutely gorgeous.❤🎉😊
Thanks so much for rescuing the little lad ❤
I used to have a fish, and he would always listen to my voice and would come whenever I would call his name....Blue.
He was blue all over, and when he died, I was very sad.
Aww that’s sweet. He’s in fishie heaven now
I'm sure you will see him again
May his memory forever be a blessing ❤
Good story bro
Beautiful Stevie!💙
Nice to see you gave him a decent size tank
The first tank looked okay for his size but she definitely sized up at the end of the video (from the square to rectangular tank) to keep up with his growth. The current one looks to be, at the very least, around 5 gallons (the generally accepted bare min tank size for these guys ^^) so that's good!
And especially compared to those horrid cups they stay in 24/7 at many (primarily big chain) pet stores, I'm sure the difference was wild for the little guy!
I see so many people treat fish like they're just decor rather than the curious living beings they actually are. Breaks my heart but it makes me so happy to see people care and act on it if they have the means to do so. ❤
So sweet ❤ you don't think about these suffering from stress and loneliness like you would a dog.
A friend had an 80 gallon tank with a great big plecostomus who would come to the front of the tank to greet us. When we put our hands on the tank he would cozy up against the glass next to our hands enjoying the warmth and companionship.
So cute ❤
Catfish?
That is adorable ❤
He had a pet catfish?! 😂
Pleco, he had a pleco, type of cat fish
If people could care about every living creature like this ♡ 🐟 love the transformation
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 thank you thank you fish have a brain he knows you saved his life he will live for a very very long time👋🏻🇬🇧
Yes. Fish are much more intelligent than they are given credit for. 🐟
Thank you, for rescuing this beautiful baby. 👏💖
He's gorgeous
It’s cute to see how fish have feelings like that
Amazing! I love seeing the real emotions fish can show us when they're in their tanks.
Imagine if this fish were free; we'd never get to see him change colors!
But so sad knowing all those betas sit in cups in pet stores 🥺
@@Neko_Surprise Ugh!! It distresses me. Each of those fish has the potential to recognize their owners and become wonderful pets.
Appreciate the realness in your content, it's like a dose of authenticity
This is why I've always loved Bettas. They never fail to be some of the most beautiful, vibrant colored fish and little Stevie here is no different ❤
I recently got a gorgeous blue betta fish that i named Absolem after the blue caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland, and i truly will say buying fish from pet stores is a teeter-totter subject. As an animal activist, i believe that it is cruel how pet stores treat bettas, but taking a living creature from cruel conditions is, by definition, rescuing them. Along with that, i volunteer at my local shelter, and it's extremely rare that you find a shelter thats willing to take in fish due to not having the funds or resources to take care of fish. The other side of that is, unfortunately, it does encourage pet stores to buy and sell more fish. The best thing you can do is advocate for better treatment of fish in store captivity, but until then, as unfortunate as it is, getting a fish from a pet store is rescuing the fish
I love the royal blue Stevie became. Gorgeou! Thank you for rescuing him.
🤧 aww he's super gorgeous, bless you for saving him and giving him a terrific forever home. I love how he changed colours, and he looks so much happier and better. Wicked video thanks for sharing 🖤😎👍
Stevie is so beautiful. These fish do get very used to their people and react to their presence.
This is beautiful!! The fish became happy in its new home!! You really made a difference!!
So beautiful❤❤❤ You completely saved Stevie.
You saved him! How sweet, hes so beautiful now!❤
What a gorgeous fish. He sure looks happy😊
A lovely little guy
Stevie is a very happy fish😊
God bless you. people who care about the smallest of living beings are spirits of light. thank you for being a light!
Stevie is so beautiful!! All animals deserve love and respect and caring. God bless
I would have never believed it was the same, if not for the little moustache
Wow! How amazing!!! God bless Stevie, his family and everyone involved in his rescue!
That’s so nice of you ! You are such a beautiful soul ! Every life matters even a tiny fish! Thank you
Stevie's beautiful!!!
This is pure love...
Stevie is beautiful and loves his home. Thank you for rescuing him ❤❤❤ Enjoyed your video
Thank you for giving Stevie such a loving home. He’s so happy now❤️
Proof, Respect is a noble attitude! ✌🏻
He’s beautiful!
One of the prettiest betta fishes I've ever seen ❤😍
Thanks for sharing 🙏❤️
Oh he is wonderful 👏 Thank You for sharing 🙏
He's so beautiful ❤ what a transformation
These guys ship to the store in tiny little condiment cups because their oxygen usage is so low. He was probably stressed in a big way! So glad you saved his little life.❤️ Great video. People need to know that these are sentient feeling beings, not just beautiful gems.💎
He became so beautiful!!!!❤
Have never seen anything like him before! He's fabulous!!!❤❤❤
Wow...I honestly never would've imagined that a fish could be so happy as to change colors and grow...
How awesome.
You've helped him become his true self! Bless you!! ❤️
Astonishing! And wonderful❤️
Give him a little friend!
The size of the being makes no difference in the size of the love given and received. We are all beautiful souls who deserve love. 🙏💜✨️
Without videos like this most people would never believe a fish can have personality and emotions.
I'm a Pisces. A fish is so sweet. I love him!! Nice 5.
Stevie ❤ So pretty!
What a pretty little baby. The colors he/she changes to are amazing and that little face is just so cute.
Bettas are so adorable, beautiful and fierce!
he's beautiful ! i would have gotten a white betta fish but i know they almost always change colors once they've been acclimated to a proper tank. so i stick with the blues and reds :)
Goth fish livin his best life fr!
Thank you for loving Stevie😊
Side note-Betty's are some of the most beautiful fishe I've ever seen.
You brought color back into his life... literally, how sweet is that! ❤
OMG!!! Amazing recovery!! ❤️🩹 😊
I had a beta exactly like this! Named him Yagi Toshinori, he started off all white with a few grey/pink spots. I got him a 10g tank a ton of plants and hidy spots and after about 5 months he turned into the most beautiful red white and blue beta I’ve ever seen in just a common fin tail ❤ I miss him
Aw, what a beautiful boy! Love tends to bring out true beauty, this is a stunning and touching example. God bless you, little Stevie, you are loved and gorgeous. 😻💙🕊️
Thank you for rescuing Stevie!!!! He's thrived under your care. Thank you🙏😊
I still dont understand how its not considered animal abuse to keep these fish in literal cups and nothing else. Ive saved many over the years amazing fish some had unique personalities.
This happened to me too with a female koi betta, she went from white to Purple, pink and blue
“He was kinda like ✨A lItLlE gOtH✨” amazing
I am happy that you are nurturing something alive
I hate how petco and petsmart treat their beta fish.
I hope people don’t get the idea that they should pay for those sad fish in pets stores. Because people pay for them they get more, if people stop paying they stop putting animals in those conditions. Consumers speak with their dollar.
Look how happy Stevie looks!! 😁
Stevie: ☹️❤
I love his little "sad" face. Lol
What a beautiful fish thanks for rescue him
Awful being in a cup
There is no way for you to actually know that. And opinions aren't facts.
Buying it is not a rescue
it is when they were dying in the pet store
@@minghaolee9512 That just gave the pet store another sale and another reason to buy fish. Rescuing would be stealing it, buying just supports the whole thing further.
Would you rather her let in the damn store?
@@uwu-bebsPREACH
Did you miss the first part of the video?! Like what the….
Thank you for taking care if Stevie and loving him
I didn't know that this kind of a fish 🐠 required a large tank and pumps. Much to learn... Share MORE please. God bless you and Stevie 🙏✝️😮😲😃😘🥰💞🙋🙋🙋
This wasn't a rescue, this was a purchase, which is like buying from a puppy mill, but for fish. I wish people would stop calling them rescues. This supports fish abuse and bad practices. You are supporting the industry when you do this and you $$ supports the bad practice.
😢🐟 Oh he was loved, and beautiful, at last..
😍
The world needs more people like you 🐟❤️
Many people don’t realise that fish need enrichment activities as much as dogs do. Mine all used to watch David Letterman on TV 😂❤
He is beautiful!
I had a beta named Owen that was a lot like this. Always so happy to see me, I'd sit there and talk to him and he loved it. Came home ever day after work to say hello and he was there waiting. He lived for quite a long time. About 5 years or so I'd say.
Awe he was so sad in the beginning. Thanks for sharing and being so kind!
Thank you❤
That is a happy blossom at it's finest ❤
I have two! (In separate tanks). Ezra is teal and Idris is red and blue. They greet me every morning ~ much more social than I thought. They make me happy!😊
Thank you for caring enough to change his environment so he can be stimulated mentally xx ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for rescuing him❤
