- HDMS Esbern Snare L17 is a 6300 ton Absalon Class Support Ship of the Royal Danish Navy and is the largest combat vessels in the Royal Danish Navy, and we see her as she crosses Firestone Bay and enters Devonport at Western Kings on 20th January 2017.

The Iver Huitfeld Frigates are actually a bit larger.
It's quite rare to observe any NATO warship with 2 forward gun turrets. Plus 7 .50 BMG, 36 cruise missiles! Some kind of record for sure!

This design is basically the future Royal Navy Type 31 e.
For approx £320M each?.....absolute!.....5 Arrowhead 130's for the price of one T26 ...she would also be perfect for the Kiwis.... The RCN and the RAN should seriously consider the class...in light of the PRC have something like 50 DD's and and 55 FFG's and counting.

Paul Tanton Not quite this not an Iver Huitfeldt class but it’s support ship. This ( Espen snare ) and it’s sistership Absolon has a larger cargo area. You can find a video on Absolon chasing pirates to get a closer look.
@@denmark39 support ship but has weapon as a Frigate :) we Indonesian just bought 2 class of Iver, the ceremonial signing will be held soon. there is a plan to add 2 more absalon class for the Indonesian Cost Guard, not sure when to be materialized, considering the slower economic caused by Covid spreads.
@@rpm1796 Chilean Navy consider the type 31E ´´ ARROWHEAD -140`` for building in laird ASMAR Talcahuano ( age 2030 aprox. )
