UK should choose this for the type 31 frigate class. It's cheaper than the projected cost for a domestic type 31, and very well armed compared to what domestic ships.

The U.S. Navy has plans to purchase 20 guided missile frigates for its fleet. It is looking at different models offered by domestic contractors and vendors. No doubt this is not an easy decision to make. But the U.S. Navy needs to look at workable, practical and proven examples made by others to save time--and save U.S. taxpayers some money too. These frigates do not have to be gold plated or have the electronics envisioned in the next century to be deployable. The Danish Iver Huitfeldt Frigates were built with plenty of potential, redundancy, proven weapons and radar/sonar systems. They purchased three frigates at less than about $900 Million for the whole package. It's not hard to imagine the U.S. Frigates costing up to $ 850 million per copy, given the past way and trends in U.S. ship procurement. The Danish frigates have up-to-date equipment and sensors, made to be serviceable and accessible, and meet all NATO ship standards. In short, it does not have to be invented here to work well.

The Arrowhead design is based on the Iver Huitfeldt Class Frigate shown above. It's a large Frigate of 5,700 tons, with a Ship's Company of roughly 100, with added space for 60 Royal Marines for example. The construction of the Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carrier was modular, with various sections being built in Shipyards around the Country, with final assembly taking place in the huge dry dock at Rosyth Naval Base. This approach has proved to be an amazing success and it has provided many thousands of jobs right across the supply chain in the UK. A similar approach has been adopted for the Arrowhead design.
The Leander concept proposes a smaller Frigate, based on the Khareef-class corvettes built by BAE Systems in Portsmouth for the navy of Oman of about 4000 tons, with a larger crew of 120 and an smaller embarked force of about 30. This design concept proposes constructing the entire class in its entirety at Cammell Laird in Birkenhead. Here are two links which describes the two designs in more detail.

Actually, 6.600 tons with 117 seamen, but spaced for 173. Has tons of weapons, some of the most high-tech radars and has the best kind of soldiers on board - the danish kind. :o)

no the danish warship has the size of a Fregate a fregate is from 86-140 meters and this measures 138,4 meters and then it depends on the weight too a destroyer measures from 120 - 170 meters but has to be a lot heavier to be called a destroyer this class can never be a destroyer you can even see how easy it moves close to shores. If you don't believe us please read this book and learn about the differences, even wikipedia writes the same. Experts calls this a Fregate, Books calls this a fregate, web pages + wikipedia calls this a fregate, It has F which meens Fregate. You have no fact you use words. You are the only one who calls this a Destroyer. It is not and will never be a destroyer. I have brought the facts you just list a lot of things you think is right even though everything else shows otherwise. You can't back Fact with your own believing. Go to the museum of where the old fregate Jütland still can be seen, listen to them and they will tell you the exact same things. cause how you name these ships and why they have different names is an historical thing as much as still existing in a modernised version.

i did google it i also brought you all the proves, not only did i google it i studied it, Ive heared professional talk about this you still have not brought one fact. I got you a link that actually says dif between Fregate and Destroyer. I even told you to seek answers of professional and yes by measures you can have a fregate being longer if is within 140 meters but it is still about the weight and how it moves in the water that defines what it is. Still you are the only one calling this one a destroyer. Noone else does it. the danish defence own website calls this a fregate, Global Firepower writes 9 frigates and 0 destroyers, google and wiki calls this a fregate. no one not even one page calls this a destroyer.

I am not wrong modern Fregates can do a lot more then elder versions of the same type. It even writes about it in many of thouse links i gave you. You still haven't brought one single fact to what you say words are not enough and using ! does not help ur point. Show me the side who calls this a destroyer please cause you can't all officiel sides calls this a fregate get it in your head. This will never be a destroyer no matter how many ! you use.
