Amen Jase! You are right on target! The closer we draw to God, the more spiritual warfare we will encounter. The demons have the lost, they leave them alone. This is the reason so many churches split up and Christians are not spiritually mature enough to recognize this. So many do not like to hear the preachers talk about the demons of hell.
The best thing I ever remember about prayer is watching Miss Clara in War Room. She makes you so excited about building a prayer closet in your house. She was filled with the Holy Spirit.

Phenomenal depth today…made me cry! The shadows in the Lazarus story are so layered & confirm over & again the “death/resurrection/freedom” in what Jesus was getting ready to do & then what each believer does in the process of sanctification. Coming into life & freedom from death is a stinky, messy process. Be steadfast & our reward is beyond our imagination!! Be blessed brothers. Love you all in Christ!!

In reference to focusing on your praying, Dr. Charles Stanley mentions to pray aloud and a quite place. This helps you keep focus and keeps you from not finishing your prayers. It makes sense to me.
makes sense to the adversary too. It counts on us telling it our fears and troubles... not being omniscient is a big obstacle for the adversary, so it relies on us telling it our struggles. God's bigger than that, He knows what we need/want before we speak it. Try not giving familiar spirits a foothold in what God has already worked out for your good.
Pray in secret, be rewarded openly. Matt 6:6
Div inity... When Jesus taught his followers to pray, He did not say... silently, or the devil will getcha. Passage is about not putting on a "prayer" show to impress others with your "spirituality". There is time and place for silent prayer, and nothing wrong with it, but trying to keep secrets from fallen angels is giving them too much credit and God not enough. God knows our needs but wants us to bring them to Him, and can be trusted to deal with the enemy. I would suggest that the more openly we bring things before the Lord, the less power the enemy has over those things. The place for silent prayer, when silent for the sake of discretion, is among other people. Not everybody needs to know everything, some things are best kept between a few trusted fellow pilgrims in some public circumstances. When it is just you and God, pray as you will, silently or vocally. We are instructed to resist the devil, but if it is bold enough to eavesdrop on my conversation with the Lord, I trust that my Lord will deal with it.

Ive been battling that for the past 15 years. Definitely no coincidence that came in my life when Jesus was front and center. Which he still is but i still struggle

I always wondered where Lazarus was for those 4 days(his spirit). Jesus had not ascended to our Father yet and we know abraham's bosom was still in place because Jesus hadn't ascended. So imagine the story Lazarus had when he had came back to life after being on the paradise side of hades at that time. Any thoughts?

Salvation? Resurrection? I LOVE GOD. I LOVE JESUS. I LOVE THE HOLY SPIRIT. Now, hopefully, that will ease it 4 those Folks that R not gonna agree with me when I say the following: GOD seeks to prove ITSELF to no one, for GOD has no need to do that. GOD is, and that is what is so. Those who know themselves to be One with GOD, or have the experience of GOD within, have no need, nor do they seek, to prove that to anyone, least of all themselves.
And, so it was, that when the Peeps taunted HIM, saying, "If you are the SON OF GOD, come down from that cross !".......JESUS did nothing. (wink)
Yet three days later, quietly and unobtrusively, when there were no witnesses and no crowds and no one to whom to prove anything, JESUS did something a great deal more astonishing-----and the World has been talking about it ever since. (smile)
In this MIRACLE is found our "salvation". Amen.

Regarding Jase's observation of it not being over after we die, have you heard about what the symbol of the Semi-colon means? People are tatooing it on their bodies after getting past suicide attempts saying thier story is not over. I think it would be a cool to have a semi-colon on our tombstone after our date of death. Thoughts?
But when you pray go into the room and shut the door and pray to your father who is in secret. And your father who sees in secret will reward you. Matthew 6:6 I always wondered what it meant about our father being in secret.
