Thank you so much for the kind words. Yeah, getting those close ups on this very low car was a great challenge. Lol. Thank you for appreciating our work, and thank you for watching! -Rjeff H2H
How often do you think this has to be drained? Like every year or two or like after every rainfall? Also, how can I make sure its not already clogged??
Hello, if you are not worried about bugs, you can just keep the ends out. The only purpose of the ends designed like that is to prevent bugs or insects from going inside. But if you prefer it to be on, I would recommend cleaning it once a year, when you do your "spring cleaning" day just to be safe. Hope that information helps.
Hi there, im considering to buy a 2004 z4. But after hearing lot of issues with covertible pump and those clogs i am kinda scared to go for the decision. Will removing these parts help at all or be a adequate measure to prevent pump failure? The cars pump atm works well, but i feel i will have to deal with it in future. Thank you for your videos and insights. ❤️
Hello, if this is your first Bmw, know that parts will be expensive, and shop labor as well, compared to Toyota or Honda repairs. I just want to get that out of the way first. With that said: I, as well as others, create DIY repairs so that owners can save money on repairs that these vehicles are known for. The DIY repairs are not that hard, and if you are mechanically inclined, they are very straightforward. With the roof motor, just like any roof motors, if they get soaked with water, they will eventually die. So cleaning the roof drains is really a necessity to avoid this from happening. And like any bmw owners you ask, the driving experience outweighs the repairs you worry about. Worse case you can just resell the car for a slight loss. Hope that info help.
