Tbf like 20 of the heroes in this game have a way to block it. That ult is so hard to actually successfully land lol
@@razrv3lc on the other hand if there are so many that illari players should know what blocks it. My goldfish memory checks every time I ult to see what can block it.
@@razrv3lc yeah illari ult is painfully bad way too many chars that can block it, kiriko susu , orisa spin sigma , eat dva eat , rein shield blocks it, mei wall, worst feeling isn’t getting blocked tho deffo the kirkio susu is a lot more annoying to play around
Right?! I blocked one Illari ult in a QP match and she learned and started waiting for my wall to be on cooldown.
Although tbf there's both a Kiriko and Mei in the game so she'd have to wait for both Wall and Suzu to be on CD so I kinda get why she didn't really care
@@scorchiie she could just have gone a bit higher or used it at different moments, getting it blocked twice, fair enough but trying two more times doing the exact same thing is crazy, like idk she was just trying to hard to get the whole team with it and clearly wasnt even bothering to check wall but just praying. Like just solo someone with it or something, anything when mei isnt there or even is in cryostasis

It’s not going to be in the killfeed because it’s not damage with knockback attribute, like melee, sleep, pin, hook. Cryo is just map geometry.

I may not play mei much anymore but she will always be my favorite hero. The utility she creates is crazy even if her dmg isnt the craziest, the wall is the best and useful part of her kit

The only ult blocks I've been able to pull off real consistently are Illari and Dva ults, I have no idea how you block shatters and rampages like that. Is your reaction speed just THAT good or do you read the situation and predict?
@@scorchiie hes probably reading, if u count ults its easy to know who has what ult and reins who want to shatter usually make it very obvious by getting freaky aggressive

I started maining Mei when I first played Overwatch 2 not that long ago and my friends kept saying I was bad at her and saying I'm not good at the game but watching these Mei videos I learned how to wall and flank, they don't talk trash so much now though they still act like I'm bad, 24 kills from 3 at most is a great bit of progress

I main Mei as well (as long as my friends dont ask me to be the tank) and i love how you use walls a lot more defensively / to save your team rather than any guide says to use it to trap people from running from you
If id have your aim and your reaction time on the hog hook walls, i might become capable one day too
Also, what do you think about the alternative wall placing setting of "confirm on release button"?
I press E for the Hologram and releasing E instantly places it, left click becomes the rotating option
I thought itd improve my reaction speed because for regular walls, i only have to press one button anymore, but what do you think about it?
i mostly see cryo freeze being used reactionary, so i'm always amazed at how you use that ability aggressively
I'm curious to know how early into Illari's release that 4 cancel game happened, because I noticed when Venture came out that almost all players used the ult in the exact same rhythm: pop, fire x4 no matter what.
The community seems to have gotten slower at learning new heroes lol.

I tried this so many times. I just kept being killed first after the first save. They would focus me first then kill the team. Mei so such a good character in the right hands.
