Dr. James Kustow is a psychiatrist, educator and (soon to be) author of a new book on adult ADHD, with a longstanding interest in hypermobility syndromes and their neuropsychiatric expression. In a highly informative presentation, that builds from the basics upwards, he will show how physical and mental weave together and really can't been seen and managed in isolation.
He will consider the various pathways to fatigue in the context of his 'Somatic Super-Syndrome Model of mental disorder', which starts with defective connective tissue, and ends with a range of common neuropsychiatric manifestations. These incude mental heath and neurodevelopmental disorders, sensory processing issues, pain syndromes and fatigue presentations amongst others. He will illustrate, using the 3S model deconstructed into its component parts, how everything is connected, and show how physical and mental may, at the end of the day, actually be one and the same. A bold challenge to the current paradigm, with huge implications for healthcare. One not to miss!

I didn't know there was a such thing as inattentive ADHD. I thought I couldn't have ADHD because I'm not hyperactive. I now suspect otherwise.
