I'd really like to meet her & spend some REAL time with her... get to know the real person behind the persona, however, because in too many ways and too many times, she absolutely appears to be 100% in love with Jamie & don't, please do not take me wrong. But my favorite kills lineup was when they toured with a standing percussion battery: four people with bandana masks and leather jackets banging on toms and snares. It was such a great way of filling out the sound without detracting from the drum machine simplicity and aesthetic.

And I just love how Mosshart becomes one with the music, and that her wild hair goes curtain over her face and that her hands goes clapping by themselves and how she looks at Hince now and then and just keeps on rocking the genuine way only she can, and at 4:45 and forward Hince not only fires his guitar but also oinks like a damn pig in a manner that perfectly interacts with Mosshart's engaged groans, heavy breathing and compulsive body movements. The Kills kills it, people!!!
They're so intriguing and Allison's got that A Star Appeal with her Singing, playing n Vibe! Jamie's a Quality Guitarist and that last Tune reminds me of The Velvet Underground! Good set

god damn i love the kills. perfect soundtrack for the smoke choked city of portland in the midst of these massive 2020 wildfires and you know the pandemic, police protests,, mass unemployment, shit politicians.. I cant wait to get down with some beautiful people to some loud ass music when all this is over!
When I reflect on this band I tend to get way too far in the weeds. When they are playing their music they both change into an emotional conduit for each and every song. You can see it in how they move, play their guitars, and sing the lyrics. They're vastly underappreciated.
I don't know if anyone has pointed it out already, but footage from the camera which Alison is talking about at the beginning can be seen in the music video for Tape Song :)

The guitarist Jamie is up there with Tom Morello and The Edge from U2, incredible effects and raw playing.
I feel the same way. Really created his own unique thing. I'm guessing he does a lot of the drum sequencing as well (which is great too)
