Can you imagine the hundreds of millions of lives that have been touched by the creations that Jim Henson made before and after his passing. He was definitely one of those celebrities whose passing truly shocked me to the core.
Lol the chucky puppet seems out of place next to the other puppet s which are kid friendly. Lol .didnt expect to see chucky next to them ..wow but cool
WOW!! Thank you, Thank you! I loved watching your visit to this museum and their incredible display of Jim's life and hobby. I'm a HUGE fan of The Muppets, Fraggle Rock, and as a youngin, Sesame Street. So much nostalgia!
I grew up in the Atlanta area and I can tell you this is the most amazing place to explore!!!! I used to LOVE going there on field trips! I recommend it 1000000 % 💖
what an amazing exhibit. Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas is one of my all time favorite Christmas Specials as a kid and even to this day and Fraggle Rock!!!!
@kimmieskreations1969 I totally agree with the Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, being one of my favorites as well. I think it even has a song I would probably have played at my funeral. When The River Meets The Sea.
They have rotating displays. I have been twice and I still say new things in your video that I have never seen. The first time I went, they had all of Emmett Otter on display, including Ma and Emmett in the row boat. Almost cried like a baby.
I’ve been before, but I’m going to visit again next month to see the Fraggle Rock exhibit and I’m so excited!!! I’m probably going to cry when I see Boober 😭
Fascinating. Absolutely fascinating. I love Henson's work. I really wish one of these would come around to where I live. Thank you for sharing this with us. And I greatly appreciate the slow panning shots allowing us to really absorb everything we're seeing.
Great nostalgic experience. I have a few replica full size muppets in my collection, but always wanted a real Animal. Its too bad the JH Dinosaurs and TMNT suits really didn't survive. Seeing those on display would have been cool.
The Hensons donated so many puppets it took them years to sort through and restore them and they had to build a new wing. They think that so far only about 1/8th of the collection has been put on display. They have my favorite Muppet Digit from The Jim Henson Hour but haven't displayed him yet.
I'm planning a trip from Chile to Atlanta just to see this exhibit person. This will be my gift to myself, a little break from motherhood just to immerse myself into Jim Henson's world for a few hours ❤
What an amazing place to visit. We did the first time we went to Atlanta years ago. It’s nice to see some of the same items on display and plenty of new ones.
Wow. Roosevelt Franklin, a short lived, but very significant character. Side note, as an 80s baby I low key really want to see Big Bird up close. I may faint 😩😂😂😂😂
I was there when they had the Dark Crystal collection. Really should have headed back for Fraggle Rock. I attended a few DragonCon panels that were all Fraggle: Back to the Rock.
They could have subtitled the Jim Henson exhibit (This is your Childhood) Not gonna lie I teared up when I saw Dog from the Storyteller. When John Hurt acted with Jim Henson you honestly believed a dog could talk. And to find Madam that just made me smile.
Loved this - What an amazing museum. Probably wouldn't get all the references but all the Jim Henson exhibits worth it alone. Hard pass on the ol' Punch and Judy stuff tho 😅
Its funny, but almost no one from the Atlanta area goes downtown. We go from edge community to edge community. Atlanta proper is only 12% of the Atlanta metropolitan area population.
I can definitely see that. It wasn’t my desire to be downtown, but that’s where the museum is located. I initially wanted to check out the Titanic Immersive Experience, but they moved the opening date from this past weekend to next weekend. It was a happy accident that I found this museum by searching for things to do in Atlanta (that were open early in the day).
I was a bit sad when you said ‘puppet dog’ without reference to ‘the storyteller’ which is by far some of best work Jim Henson ever did. It’s an incredible series.
Can you imagine the hundreds of millions of lives that have been touched by the creations that Jim Henson made before and after his passing. He was definitely one of those celebrities whose passing truly shocked me to the core.
Completely agree. Henson’s reach is remarkable. It was great to see the adults walking through all smiling and laughing just as much as their kids.

Very true!

I had forgotten about Emmett Otter until my brother brought it up last Christmas. It was instantly purchased and added to our family Christmas movies.

It really was fantastic. I'm looking forward to returning in the Winter.
There will always be a soft spot in my heart for the Muppets.
To all the GREAT Muppet movies and Sesame Street..We're Great Memories!!

Amazing and I didn't know he did some of those characters
Have been there myself, and as a big Jim Henson fan, it was very magical!😊

Thanks so much for this video. I saw my childhood in there... Greetings from Chile.

The Jim Henson exhibit is still there, but the Fraggle Rock exhibit has closed for the center to put out their Christmas exhibit.
Wow seeing the puppet museum was wonderful.
I am puppieteer .
😊
Loved seeing The Dark Crystal and Madame Flowers. I loved her. No puppets from Captain Kangaroo was sad.
I thought for sure they would have puppets from Captain Kangaroo as well!
I always wanted to be a Fraggle, until my dreams were shattered and I found out they weren't real at twenty.
If I could have one, I'd take Mokey.

It was a really cool experience. I'd like to see the Rudolph exhibit later this year.
This was epic! Thank you

I can’t wait, in just 10 days I’m finally going to get to see this exhibit when my parents and I go to Atlanta Georgia in just one week.🥹
Wow, this really brought me back. Thank you for a well done video, the editing was fantastic as well!
That is sooo cool. Seeing Tom and Crow there was great. Seeing how Muppets evolved was neat.
It was a really awesome museum and exhibit!
That Jim Henson exhibit looks amazing! We'll have to make a trip there soon! Thanks for sharing!

I went here a few years ago. Super fun museum and very different!
It really is!
Gumby and Poki chocked me up. I would have bought the gift store ones. Had them when I was Little.
I'd love to see more of them in the museum!

Impressive museum
It is one of the best museum experiences that I’ve had.
View from the cheap seats well that’s is my favorite is Lynette!
I saw so many memories in there. Maybe one of these days they'll have puppets from Eureka's Castle, Today's special, and Great space coaster
Wow!
Exactly!!

Were the Emmet and Ma Otter puppets not on display? I thought those were in the museum’s collection
I did not see them on display, unless I missed them. My understanding though is that they rotate pieces in their exhibits.

The Henson exhibits were amazing. I think I've watched my footage back about a half dozen times now, b/c I loved it so much.
Thank you so much.
Jessica probably loves going there.
There was no Sesame Street when I was a kid. Capt. Penny, Captain Kangaroo and Romper Room. I was 10 in ‘69 so I was too old for kiddie shows.
Where is this it looks cool!
Wow where is it I love to go see the muppets

8:02 the 7 sins are actually from the muppet show sex and violence pilot

“I never tasted it.”

No way! You should have said hello! Hi!
What if Bert's nephew Brad and Ernie's cousin Ernestine grow up to become the leading stars of their very own PBS TV show?
Do they have the Nightmare Before Christmas and Frankenweenie puppets there, too? I’m a big Tim Burton fan
They didn't have any NBC or Franenweenie items. Maybe they'll add them as they rotate their exhibit items.
in the picture showing them is the great Frank Oz. Jim Henson was the best what he did
