If you waste food think of the birds, animals, insects who depended on those plants for food & shelter & have been deprived just to feed a person who wastes what was life giving to them . When you or somebody else cuts a mature Tree or even trims it randomly think the same. Lakhs of Animals, birds, insects are being deprived their food & shelter

Proof of concept is needed at scale. This should prove viability when the storage limits are at major cash crops scale.

So glad for them! I wonder if they dehydrate their produce as well? I would love to see drying sheds where there are heat units run by solar also, and that way they don't lose anything - they can store finished produce, use it or export it. It seems that dehydrated foods are underutilized. I have been buying dehydrated vegetables for soups, and once they are cooked they taste like fresh. Much better than canned, as the fiber holds it's structure. Dehydrated vegetables keep for a long time in sealed containers.
Need wide propagation required so that producer, aggregator and consumer have a win win situation in both price and quality.
Such technology should be encouraged to a larger scale

You could build a strawbale house with lime plaster, install a window air conditioner with a cool bot. There are videos on UA-cam about coolbot.

Eicher Pro 1059XP Refrigerated Truck will cost 18.21 lakh

The possibility is 2 to 3 lakh approx including solar panel.

@@TheCameraman224 Nope If you talking about solar panels cost, it only cost at 50k for big cold storage, 12 SOLAR panel 100w each Rs 3700, 12 is more than enough.
16 panel 50w is enough to run the house which required 1500Sq feet.

India latterly seems to be a world leader in using tech and proven engineering to assist the working poor. Is this a product of the PhD/ University system where papers and projects drive the change? When there is demand ,there should be supply .so many farmers need cold storage yet neither government nor private companies comming up with space . But they do have space for Amazon n other online shopping inventories .

Plis help us too.. We are living in manipur hill districts where there are huge capabilities of organic stuffs but due to insufficient market the marginal farmers couldn't sell their sell off so they simply wasted thousands and thousands tons
Is the Manipur government not supporting why not create a community movement and mobilise people to demand this? Do use all the digital force to make a point as well.

Govt should do away with essential commodity act and use FCI godowns which are over flowing with wheat and rice can be use for veggies with little modification
FCI is doing things which are essential to meet any calamities.
Upgrade to existing FCI warehouses costs a huge amount.

It was originally do had (two borders). It’s because it’s almost at the border of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. But overtime the pronunciations changed.
I spent my childhood summer vacations there. My grandma used to live there. Beautiful place. Miss it immensely.

Instead of investing so much money for infrastructure we can use machine learning to predict the exact number of crops to harvest everyday. This will keep the freshness of crops, after all that's the one selling point of sabzi mandi wala. I mean why won't I buy stuff from reliance fresh if stuff is just stored in refrigerators ???
You are naive to think reliance fresh produce isn't kept in cold storage and directly comes for selling.

you go n buy india is a huge market and you cant deny need of cold storage, how can you tell how much to harvest when you dont have any idea regarding the no of suppliers.. its too complicated
@@hishubhamcoolrawat Do you know how machine learning works... I'm guessing you don't. It does not require the number of suppliers, it is something done on a more ground level by taking data of how many crops were the farmers able to sell everyday for a few months across a few villages.
The only selling point these farmers have over reliance fresh is that they don't use cold storage and you are taking away that one thing from them. Why won't I now just go to reliance fresh where I can get things for cheap, increase my reward points, it is more convenient, looks more clean etc.?

such great work that he is doing. If you want to build a cold storage room really cheap you should check out "cool bot". It´s a little controller for an ac and you can run your cold storage with a cheap ac instead of an expensive compressor. Check it out at store it cold.com a lot of new farmers all over the us and europe use them.

No offence but this issue was already solved in ancient times with mud/clay huts with thick walls. The heat outside forces the inside to remain cooler. Also besides the initial labor it is basically free to operate, meaning more profits. The only ongoing cost is perhaps repairing the walls occasionally. One could easily add a covering to preserve the walls from erosion from wind and rain. Then this way the farmers can earn from allowing others in the area to store goods or it could be a community effort and everyone benefits.
I think you are comparing apples to oranges. Natural storage methods already exist in India but different produce needs different temperatures to stay fresh hence an temperature controlled environment which is only possible through technology.
@@izac90210 - Actually this is BS. Every fridge stays at a constant temperature and no one complains about food going bad. This is about weaseling people onto the grid to extract wealth from even the poor and needy. Not only that the energy they use causes all manner of destruction to the environment.
Natural storage is where they even took inspiration to invest in so called "modern technology" and yet the original is still superior in every aspect. All they did was reverse engineer it to make it utterly destructive and keeps costs running indefinitely. They simply give no fucks about the people. It is a pimpers paradise because people lack the knowledge of the Truth.
