      Yoongi's Wife yes please I just want to see places where you can get clothes and see what is being sold. I'm planning that when I go to Korea to bring an empty suitcase to buy clothes there. Since I know that buying Korean clothes online can be pricy and I don't like American fashion as its tasteless and just no value.

    Hey Mina! Thank you so much for this amazing video. I spent all day yesterday wandering around Gyeongdong Market getting ingredients, herbal teas, snacks and so much more. I knew exactly what I was looking for because you took such amazing footage! We even tried the 익모호즙! It was soooo bitter but it made me feel so good so I bought a big bottle for home. It was so amazing to be in this market because not only are the prices the cheapest I've found in Seoul; but there were absolutely no tourists there - so the experience felt deeply local, like traveling back in time to Korea in the 1970's!!! Thank you again

    I thought your statement that it felt like going back in time to Korea of the 60's or 70's was very interesting cos to me it looks like a Vietnamese market of the present time.

      Vietnam and Southeast Asia's markets are vibrant and fun to visit :) Most typical grocery markets in Seoul are indoor with fixed prices, thus why Gyeongdong Market was a contrasting pleasure!

    Korean culture is similar to my culture so I wish I lived in Korea rather the America. I loveeeeeee the open markets and everything. There's always something to walk around and look at compared to just going to the grocery store.

  • @TurquoiseTokki
    @TurquoiseTokki 7 років тому +8

    Please tell us why they sell the honey comb with the bees. When I lived in Korea I say this once but the bees seemed to be some sort of wasp. I can understand wanting honey comb but why keep the bees/wasps? How do you get it home without getting stung? How do you open that without getting hurt?

    This is very similar to the markets in Kenya and Dubai. We never go to the grocers but always shop at the markets once a week (cuz it's cheaper and the food and everything is so much better😛). I miss it😔. The whole vibe, the people (they are so nice), and environment😀. It's a shame that the U.S doesn't have something similar.
    You wanna visit a country, you go to the markets cuz that's where everything is, culture, food, people, it's all there.😃

    Quite surprised that developed country like S.Korea still has that kind of traditional market! people stand everywhere they want (somehow it annoyed me xD), even bike enter the market, a wholesaler shop (like the ramyun shop), people yell their price for their stuff loudly, etc xD
    It's really look like traditional market in my country. I feel like home just by watching your video^^
