@juho1057 Battery life is not a problem if they use 6000Mah Battery like Vivo X200 pro. 120Hz is an evolution that won't stop. Now, only Apple is lagging behind.
I’ve wanted an iPhone with a single camera for awhile. I thought of going from my 13 to an xr but if this comes out ill definitely upgrade to this instead
The perfect display i would say is 5.8 for SE somewhere around the size of X or XS so that display size and battery can also be decent … just waiting for the launch ❤
Honestly preferred the iPhone 12 notch being longer but shorter than the later notches. The 12 style doesn’t cut into game menus or videos playing. Even on the mini it is still enough space on the sides for usual stuff.
Ok guys I’m going to say it right now - iPhone SE is getting A17 Pro chip and not A18. Of course I have no confirmation and no way to prove this, but I strongly believe it; look at iPad mini (which, last time, got the faster version of A15 compared to iPhone SE 3). Then they could justify keeping the price low as well.
So basically, The iPhone SE4 is expected to feature a redesign based on the iPhone 14, including a larger 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, and a USB-C port. The camera system will reportedly be upgraded to a 48MP sensor, making it a compelling value proposition. And the iPhone SE4 will likely feature a 48MP sensor, enabling a 2X telephoto option and Night Mode. It will also include Apple’s latest A18 chip, providing improved performance, AI features, and safety capabilities. Additionally, the iPhone SE4 will be the first Apple product to include an in-house 5G chip, trialed in this lower-volume model before being rolled out to other iPhones.
It will never happen. The SE is a budget phone meant for people who want to enter into the Apple ecosystem in a cheaper and simpler way. A redesign simply would up the cost and defeat the purpose of it being budget oriented. The closest I see to a redesign is an 8 plus body. And besides you wouldn’t want your budget phone to compete with your flagship right?
@@linndyn i agree with this why would they make the SE 4 basically a iphone 16 it would directly compete with it. I believe it will be below 6inch display, with little less features or material with a18 chip. Which im all for a smaller more day to day practical phone.
I played with the IPHONE SE at the APPLE STORE and I have to say I LOVED the HOME BUTTON, I was there to pick up my IPHONE 16 and wish I had the money for both.
When you say “iPhone 14” at 0:58 and 1:55 I think you mean iPhone 13. It was the 13 that featured a smaller notch, while the 14 actually had the “Dynamic Island” instead of a notch.
@@Cattack16_ You're right, I was technically incorrect, thanks for clarifying. I usually think of the Pro models as the main representation for each iPhone number, as the base models are often unremarkable in terms of cutting-edge features. I forgot the base models existed when I wrote that comment haha. That's what I meant when I referenced the 13, as it was the first and only iPhone Pro to feature a smaller notch.
@@TheSongManipulator It’s ok, we all make mistakes ☺️ Honestly there is a main difference for each iPhone that separates it from the rest, for example only the iPhone 16s (meaning the entire lineup of 16s) have the Camera Control button, while all of the other iPhones do not.
@@luz9779 Literally 😭😭 The only difference are the colors and the size, if you see the 6.7” 14 Plus’s size compared to the 6.1” 13 (which doesn’t have a plus variant) that’s the only difference. But between the regular 13 and regular 14, no difference 🙃
I think that the best compact format is from the 11 pro or X 5’8 in would be the absolute best format, not as tiny as the mini and not as big as the regular 6’1
That’s a bad idea to get ride of the fingerprint button on the front, unless Apple adds a fingerprint button on the side; which is similar to what’s on the newest iPad and iPad mini.
The mini needs a comeback. If this leak is accurate, it means Apple will be selling 7 or 9 different models of iPhone at the same time, but only in 2 different form factors. It’s ridiculous. I just have a hard time believing Apple would do that. I’m pretty confident that the se is going to be available in two sizes for the first time: a normal 6.1”, and a mini 5.4”(they won’t call it ‘mini’, they’ll just say that the se is available in two sizes).
Some more points: -The iPhone has been available in at least 3 form factors since the iPhone 6. If the mini doesn’t come back, it would go down to 2. -Apple is in the business of making money. If the se has 2 sizes, they can advertise that the se is available at a lower price, even though most people will cough up the extra $50-$100 for the more popular 6.1” model.
As an SE fan, this seems wayyy too good to be true for an SE release. With those features, at that price, it would turn the SE from the "budget iphone" into THE iphone to recommend. base model 16 just has an additional camera, the camera button, and a smidge more screen room for an additional $350+. Feels like thats gonna be a tough sell. id rather just get an SE with more storage and save like $100, last you way longer. It also just completely demolishes the current 14 they still sell (maybe even the 15?). ig i could see them discontinuing the 14 when the new SE launches.
I don't think Apple will bring the A18 to the SE. They just put the A17 Pro in the iPad Mini 7 and it's priced similarly as last gen. They will likely do the same here although, it doesn't look good for the branding though.
The reason I liked previous SE generations is because how small it was compared to the premium phones. I was excited to think the SE 4th gen would be a iPhone 13 mini body…
I wish to see SE 4 in 5.8 inch size, like the original iPhone X. But that definitely won't be the case as it'll be cheaper to repurpose internals and casing from iPhone 13/14 gens
I understand why people would love to see a iPhone SE similar to the iPhone 13 Mini but keep in mind that the 13 Mini and 12 Mini did not sell well. People simply prefer the 6,1 inch models for obvious reasons such as a bigger display. I personally would also love the new SE to be like the 13 Mini but based on previous numbers it would not make sense from a profit perspective for Apple.
The 12 / 13 mini did sell well , when you compare that they were competing with the SE 2 & the price difference. Apple had 3 small phones for sale at the same time . The 12 & 13 sold between 10-15 million units & the SE 2 sold over 20 million units , combined that is over 30 mil give or take . Apple messed up offering all three within such a short time scale . Apple will discontinue the SE3 when the SE4 arrives , if they go with a 6.1 inch then they will have no small phone at all . From having 3 small phones to zero is just as big of a mistake , there is a very healthy market for a smaller iPhone .
$500 USD ?? 🤦♂️🤦♂️ The Samsung A15 costs $240, has 8Gb ram and 256 memory, 3 cameras.. 50mp camera, and you reckon this Apple is unbeatable?? 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
He’s talking in an Apple walled garden way. He’s not comparing it to all the Android devices out there. It’s just meant to be the most budget way brand new into the ecosystem. Not into a general mobile experience.
The A15 has a shittier camera (it’s not 50MP by default & most of its target audience won’t know about it & how to change it) & has slower speed when m the UI and its noticeable when playing games also to some people they won’t like that’s its bigger & the SE provides that smaller size option
Honestly SE Mini looking like the 13 Mini would be a banger. Also please bring back Touch ID. Love my 15 Pro but I’d kill to have a side button Touch ID.
Instead of the pro models which arent worth it, this is what i will upgrade to coming from a 12pro. And debating staying with apple - need a revolutionary phone to drop soon (a year or two iphone 17/18)
Truth is, as long as it delivers a good experience, has enough modern features and comes in at $500, people are going to buy it. But I do agree with others that some of the specs maybe exaggerated. They are not going to eat into the standard iPhone 17 sales
I used to have the iPhone SE 2022 model and it wasn't *that* bad for the money. Now they are way less than the initial $429 in a lot of places. Also, a lot of people cannot use OLED displays. They get queasy and light-headed when using OLED displays.
The SE 4th Generation needs to be like the iPhone 13 Mini but with a modern chipset. That will be the ideal SE iteration.

I hope that you understand that running screen 120Hz has it's toll on battery life and is an unnecessary cost if people really don't _need_ it. The diffrence in battery life can be as much as 15% between 60Hz and 120Hz.
but for apple it's premium
@juho1057 Battery life is not a problem if they use 6000Mah Battery like Vivo X200 pro. 120Hz is an evolution that won't stop. Now, only Apple is lagging behind.
I love the Home button design. I just need it as a Plus model.
They Should Change The Name From SE To Air.
I’ve wanted an iPhone with a single camera for awhile. I thought of going from my 13 to an xr but if this comes out ill definitely upgrade to this instead
If this comes under 450 usd it's a game changer for apple
That's it 5:50 I'm buying this next year 😭
Same here I got my First Ever I phone SE2 2020 base model 64GB still perfectly fine And I’m excited to have this next year!❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Congratulations on hitting 500K subscribers, Sam🎉🎉
To me SE models were for the kids as first phones, they "new" models but cheaper so perfect
First phone should be a cheap old android flagship
@@Sykxezn nahh its still just a phone not first car
@@natalala1803 no I'm serious, why not a s10 or something, it'd plain be a better experience
@@natalala1803 Esactly. Hw stupid the argumentof first" is.
@@Sykxezn should be an iphone 6
I always figured they would go with 5.8 display size like iPhone 10 and 11 pro.
I’ve been watching since you reviewed iPhone 11 and your channel was named iupdate keep going dude great content
I think 6.1 inches is too big for the SE. The mini had 5.4 inch, so I would like the SE to have like 5.8 in
Apple 5G moderm is main reason for iPhone SE 4.
This sounds more appealing than the 16 Pro.
This will be a game changer
why would anyone buy base iPhone 16 over this?
true
Wide angle lens. That’s the only reason I can think of.
Ah yes, another 6.1 inch sized phone, just what we needed
love the value proposition but hate losing the finger print sensor
Which camera will be better, iPhone 16 o this se4?
respect for this channel for telling us in the title that this video is based off leaks and not clickbaiting us
4:17 no sponsor
Bring back the SIM card tray and I’ll buy
Buy it outside the USA
In Canada we got the SIM card
The perfect display i would say is 5.8 for SE somewhere around the size of X or XS so that display size and battery can also be decent … just waiting for the launch ❤
It would be nice if Apple sells the iPhone SE in two sizes, just like Apple Watch SE.
They won’t.
@@davidjacobs6244I know. Just saying it would be nice if they do.
Is it just me or has the audio gotten better than before?
Honestly preferred the iPhone 12 notch being longer but shorter than the later notches.
The 12 style doesn’t cut into game menus or videos playing.
Even on the mini it is still enough space on the sides for usual stuff.
When this comes out, should I upgrade from my iPhone 12?
Ok guys I’m going to say it right now - iPhone SE is getting A17 Pro chip and not A18. Of course I have no confirmation and no way to prove this, but I strongly believe it; look at iPad mini (which, last time, got the faster version of A15 compared to iPhone SE 3). Then they could justify keeping the price low as well.
Button and the small screen best. Fingerprint is best than face id. Make it more powerful but don't change screen size, home button, etc!
Idk, them removing the home button sort of makes me feel like they’re closer to the finger print scanner on the lock/unlock
It’s about time ! They should give it a better refresh rate as well
Preferably 90 hz
@@etoorijoseph_TV $250 androids have 120hz. its literally the bare minimum.
@@NissanSkylineR32GTR Leave android out of this, those companies, that 120hz is not any better than 60 hz from apple especially in a long run
@@etoorijoseph_TV you don't know what you're talking about🤦🏽
@etoorijoseph_TV I've used Apple devices at 60hz and they feel terrible. Android is way smoother
The base 14s still have a notch, so it’s correct. It’s the 14 Pro/Pro Max which got Dynamic Island
Ngl i cant blame you for being confused because apple released the same phone 2 times in a row. The 13 and 14 base iPhones are literally the same
@@Cattack16_ You're right, I was technically incorrect, thanks for clarifying.
So, no longer small and no home button ...
I guess I'll be hanging on to my iPhone SE 2022 then.
Or you can buy a new SE 2022 if need be, then you have a fresh SE 2022 to use for years to come!
Where is the dynamic island
Should I buy iphone 13 or Iphone se4?
Definitely upgrading my iPhone 8 to this
I think that the best compact format is from the 11 pro or X 5’8 in would be the absolute best format, not as tiny as the mini and not as big as the regular 6’1
That’s a bad idea to get ride of the fingerprint button on the front, unless Apple adds a fingerprint button on the side; which is similar to what’s on the newest iPad and iPad mini.
Thanks for sharing. Blessings on your day.
Some more points:
-The iPhone has been available in at least 3 form factors since the iPhone 6. If the mini doesn’t come back, it would go down to 2.
-Apple is in the business of making money. If the se has 2 sizes, they can advertise that the se is available at a lower price, even though most people will cough up the extra $50-$100 for the more popular 6.1” model.
When will it release?
I will buy it if they really make a se 4 plus one too
As an SE fan, this seems wayyy too good to be true for an SE release.
I will buy this just because its the smallest iphone in the market. 😊
The OLED needs better hertz speed to prevent the headaches many people get with OLED. Or have DC Dimming as an option
I don't think Apple will bring the A18 to the SE. They just put the A17 Pro in the iPad Mini 7 and it's priced similarly as last gen. They will likely do the same here although, it doesn't look good for the branding though.
Will the new iPhone SE have always on display though
damn was hoping it was gonna be iphone mini size
they should do 60Hz for the iphone se, a 90Hz panel for the base iphone and then the 120Hz ProMotion for the pro
Ive only bought the SE iPhones. I cant wait for the 4th. My SE 2 is crapping out lol.
I really hope they make this design on the se 4 I think this looks amazing in my opinion 🤩
From having 3 small phones to zero is just as big of a mistake , there is a very healthy market for a smaller iPhone .
would this be a good upgrade from an 11?
I’ll be “upgrading” my 13 Pro for the new SE.
There’s no way. Would cameras and Dynamic Island be the only differences between the SE and the 16?
I think the change to their own in house 5G chip could be for longevity too.
Old People punching the air right now, they love that home bottom and small size
The A15 has a shittier camera (it’s not 50MP by default & most of its target audience won’t know about it & how to change it) & has slower speed when m the UI and its noticeable when playing games
also to some people they won’t like that’s its bigger & the SE provides that smaller size option
Yup, I'm getting this for sure.
I think the camera layout should change they should have a minimum dual camera set up
Honestly SE Mini looking like the 13 Mini would be a banger. Also please bring back Touch ID. Love my 15 Pro but I’d kill to have a side button Touch ID.
always on display?
Instead of the pro models which arent worth it, this is what i will upgrade to coming from a 12pro.
And debating staying with apple - need a revolutionary phone to drop soon (a year or two iphone 17/18)
Great video Sam ❤😊
Why do I keep watching se 4 videos basically repeat what I already knew.
Truth is, as long as it delivers a good experience, has enough modern features and comes in at $500, people are going to buy it. But I do agree with others that some of the specs maybe exaggerated. They are not going to eat into the standard iPhone 17 sales
0:57 nah. That’s def an iPhone 13
I used to have the iPhone SE 2022 model and it wasn't *that* bad for the money. Now they are way less than the initial $429 in a lot of places. Also, a lot of people cannot use OLED displays. They get queasy and light-headed when using OLED displays.
What about update support, how many years?
