    Im a low spender and i disagree completely- I love this update. You're able to compete better with higher res by simply outgrinding them ,just like the good old days. It brings back the importance and fun of pre farming,where, again, low res can out grind higher res with para levels and allows a higher chance(god forbid)for a f2p to get a server first c rift clear. Also,why have triple stat/MF/socket in the game when a less rare 2/2 will easily replace it? Lastly, i have multiple friends who have come back to the game from a break,and even when they catch up to the server para level,theyre CR is still massively lower then the difficulty that they could be in. They wouldve been stuck in lower difficulties even when server para 1K comes around,until they can find someone to carry them for an extensive amounts of time. In short, the playing field has been (re) leveled in terms of f2p and whales imo.

      There are some major problems in continually replacing your pvp gear.
      1. You need to keep purifying curses if you want to take advantage of 2p-6p of curse. & if you don’t, then its a disadvantage in BG
      2. You cannot rely on invocations. My build relies on loss of control invocation & dash invo. Like reducing move speed triggers my invocation. Cannot make builds with that.
      3. Today already server first rift 410 claimed by a whale. How? Pilots (just being real here)
      4. Finally, yes grinders do get an advantage. But this is a phone game. Majority players don’t play this more than 3-4 hrs a day. This hurts a majority player base. Yes you might be rewarded for being a grinder…but that takes away the fun of min maxing your stats…
      I see where you are coming from & your points are valid. But i do have some concerns about this change. People getting Burned out can also be a problem.

      @@siddgang I agree you can't our grind a whale because they have shifting pilots. Yes, pilots with salary that have scheduled playing time and taking turns playing 1 account

      I appreciate the reponse ,and ive been playing since release and can assure you that continually replacing your gear within the span of any difficulty has always been there. No patch has changed that,and it was a nightmare using the armory. Just like they made the armory more convenient, they may make an overhaul of the CR system, who knows.
      You're first 2 points have validity to them, but are exclusive to pvp. Yes its annoying to constantly purify gear, but cursed gear is a totally different problem unrelated to combat rating.On the flip side you even said yourself that the majority of players are casual and play 3-4 hours a day. I seriously doubt the majority of f2p'ers are as obsessed with pvp,for obvious reasons. So i have to disagree with you on the point that this change hurts the majority player base, going back to my point about how multiple friends of mine are para 970+, yet stuck in inferno 1 & 2 while many other players have the luxury of pre farming a difficulty thats over 100 para levels ahead.
      Yea whales may pilot,but there are also spooners,and susan express in world chat..these things have nothing to do with CR though.

    The new CR-attributes system is stalling or wasting time of players in my opinion. I replaced my i2 pre-patch gear with the after patch i2 gear (these are higher CR) and lost a total of 3k dmg and other attributes lowered in general. inf3 dungeons and raid boss fights are more tedious as they took longer to melt. It just overall felt like a nerf to my character. My wb and I decided to just put on pre-patch gear and grind through the remaining levels of inf2 with speed to reach inf3 paragon level 1k so that we can put on those newly farmed gear (that has overall higher CR and attributes stats as compared to an i2 equipment). Combat Rating, in the first place, has never been an issue for us.

      Well said. There is a sudden increase in CR for everyone hence it has created an illusion that this is better for all. But its hard to explain what it has done to all characters.

    Would be cool if you show comparison damage between CR gear, Intelligence Gear, Fortitude Gear. I still wonder because I think meeting Fortitude requirement is a great benefit in damage

    I focused on farming for gear that had 5% crit chance. Now I have to do that _AND_ it needs to be a triple stat??? 🤬

    Just make two gear one for pvp and one for pve. And use the transfer syatem when ever you want to switch gears. You can use also armory to save you gear and a lot easier to switch between pvp and pve gear.

    I love it as it gives the power to the grinder not the spender. You can’t buy CR. This will bring more players that felt hopeless against big spenders.

    Combat rating is bad game design in general, it is a lazy way to add difficulty in a game. It is also a big advantage in PVP, whales already have a reso advantage, and when their cr is higehr than yours (which is most likely the case because 5 star gems offer the highest combat rating) then they also have a 10% damage, and 10% defense advantage over you (20% pvp value total) ON TOP of the reso advantage they already have.

    You still have to focus on attributes when you reach CR cap for inferno 2.. Dunno why people would not like this.
    This update made so that i can farm inf3 dungeons because i was like 500 cr lower than other players, because i was away from the game for 6 months and missed out on helli upgrade and gear upgrade.
    With this update i can finally catch up a little bit.

    What is the issue? We farmed the next level up, This is catering to all players, even the PVP players. I am so confused as to how you figure the new combat rating is bad. The new triple stat items should have higher CR as it is an objective to grind harder. As a PVP player myself, you must look for triple stat gear. You never want to just focus on strength and vitality. You open yourself up to so many CC attacks, AKA whale killers. you can't damage if you are hemmed up in CC all the time. Fortitude and Willpower are freaking keys to survive and triumph. The system is now better balanced for those who understand the mechanics. Learn some more about the game and the objectives at hand. I think you missed the point of their objective, MORE ACTIVE PLAYERS. AGAIN THE NEW SYSTEM IS FREAKING AMAZING. IT IS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE CASUAL FRIENDLY.

      Its hard to explain why triple stat is good for whales only. But i will give my try and give my personal example. But its okay if you stil believe triple stat is better after this.
      My all 14 pieces of gear (8primary and 6set item) had 2 stat- willpower & strength. Both at 600 each in i2.
      This gave me 840 potency and hence even as 2k player I achieved 3k potency as total. &i 180 damage from each slot - total 2520.
      Now i switch to triple stat gear. Say with perfect rolls of fortitude willpower & strength. These will have 400 (approx) on each line.
      This is a loss of 240 potency for me (20 from each slot of gear) and also a big loss in damage.
      Yes i gained armor and armor pen. But as a low res my key focus was CC. I just did one thing in pvp & that was CC. Even 4k players would be affected by my heavy cc.
      This update has nerfed this. Coz i could do that while i had 1357 in all slots.
      This is the build diversity i was talking about. Its gone now. & now triple stat is king.
      I would argue that previous system was less brain dead. Many people didn’t even know this strategy of min maxing.
      But its okay. I can understand if you disagree with this kind of strategy.

      @@siddgang If it works for your style of gameplay, run with it, I personally like to have a fully balanced character. When you OP the offensive side you undercut the defensive IMO, thus leaving you open to quick deaths. I feel your style would be a matter of you having to strike first or you're dead. I could be dead wrong, but will experiment with a build like yours to see the outcome. I am sceptical, but who knows maybe I do not understand the mechanics as well as I should at this point.

      Completely agree with this. Double stat having higher CR was bad.
      And creator shouldn't speak for all pvp players. This is preferred for me.

      So have done the math. You lose out on about 900 to 1500 stats by using only double rolls.

      @@JamesCrow1974 i realised YT comment section is not the best place to have discussion on this. Anyway i will just say that previously before patch, i could get 600x2 (2 stats) or 400x3 (3 stats). Both were totalling around 1200. Just because the game shows us 4 up arrow on 3 stat gear does not mean its an upgrade. This was a problem in D4 as well.
      But anyway, its just a play style and its okay to have different views on this

    Todays working class is lazy in general. You cant make the guy to code it right in normal time span. Just put it out like that, testing if there was any it was done so bad...after that big cash grab what to say, they are bunch of mO rons.

    just use the best gear for pvp regardless of combat rating, and use the highest combat rating gear while doing pve. Easy to understand
