I'm thinking the D225, just because of the wider camera angle. I think it's important to remember when talking subscription services and security cameras that things can change over time. Look at ARLO, they lured so many consumers in with their earlier cameras and systems only to then layer in paid subscription & restrictions. I love my 7 year old ARLO 2 system but when it needs replacing I will NOT be buying ARLO
I got the Tapo D225 to replace my Laview Halo One and it has been fantastic. It shows the video on my Google Hub almost instantly when a person is detected at the door. After buying it I decided to buy some Tapo light switches to replace my no name wifi switches and they are setup to come on when a person is detected. Also the 24/7 recording on the microsd is something I was looking for since the connection to my NVR from a wifi camera is always spotty.
@@vasuvinjarapu they both work with Google, however I didn’t mention that to have an automation run to show the camera on the screen you have to do a simple work around since these doorbells on the Google hub do not have doorbell press or person detection as a trigger. In the tapo app I have person detection and doorbell press turn on a kasa plug for 2 minutes (nothing plugged into it). I have a Google Hub automation that shows the doorbell stream when the kasa plug is on and then cancels the stream when the kasa plug is off (2 minutes timer as detailed in the Tapp app)
@@vasuvinjarapu I forgot to mention that Alexa does have the doorbell press, person detection as triggers for an automation and does not need the work around.
@@vasuvinjarapu if you aren’t worried about automation, then yes you can ask Google to show your doorbell camera and it will do it with these two doorbells pretty quickly.
I received the D210 yesterday and unfortunately I've already had to organise a replacement, less than 24 hours of usage with the power saving mode enabled and way less than 300 detections or interactions and the battery is at 86%. 😮💨 No way I'm getting 180 day battery life at this rate, and yes I let it charge for 7 hours prior to installation and setup as per instructions. Other than the horrendous battery life I have to say this product is fantastic and currently it's available on Amazon in the UK for less than £65!!
Thanks@@LifeHackster, I hope so to as I really do like the app and all of the doorbells features, I also purchased the TC82 solar kit as well (after watching your recent review video) which is working seamlessly thankfully. 😇
@@LifeHackster Update on the replacement, charged for 7 hours and installed today. Been on for over 2 hours and still at 100% battery whilst in balanced mode so already a massive improvement over the first unit which was dropped roughly 1% per hour on the first day of installation. 🤞🏼😇
TP-Link sent me a email with promo code for 25% off so I got the D225 for $75, I got that one because I'm not interested in just getting clips, I want it recording all the time and with it being hardwired to the existing doorbell, I can set it and forget it and not have to worry about what the battery level is and having to charge it.
@@purplefreak3Thanks for responding. I no longer buy products based on a promise of features that may come in a future firmware upgrade. I learned the hard way not to do this. Not saying it won't happen though. Again, thanks!

Does both the models D210 and D225 support google hub? Any idea?

Tapo D210 compared to Reolink Battery Doorbell. You can even add a Ring Doorbell to that since Ring seems to be the standard or popular choice.
I'll probably do the D225 to other high end models of Ring and other brands in my future videos. We will see.
Appreciate the comparison. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
D225 vs Reolink?
We will see. Thanks for watching!
Would you please consider a video on: D225, Eufy e340 + Entry Sensor or Reolink POE doorbells? Thank you! Love your channel 😊❤
how about comparing with D230S1
These look like good cameras but I’ll stick with my Eufy as I like rich notifications while still not paying for a subscription.
Thanks for this.
Any time
Thank you sir. 👍🏻
Very welcome
Hi can you send me link to make this wired connection please.. I’m not sure of the power delivery system..
This is great. I just subscribe to you since i love your review about Tapo
With the ring doorbell cams how far do they detect vechile motion I know it detects 30 ft but aren’t cars picked up
Does both the models D210 and D225 support google hub? Any idea?
You should test the Deep Sentinal POE cameras with pepper spray.
I’m not sure that’s a good idea.
I have to check that one out..

Sorry to hear that. I'm still at 93% ever since I made the video. Hopefully, your replacement has no issues.

Does it work with the new TP Link VIGI NVR?

Can the D225 support RTSP/ONVIF if hardwired?
It's spec sheet doesn't say it..so probably not.
D225 does not currently support it, but their support team says it a planned feature and to be included in a future firmware update.

@@wscottfunk The latest firmware update added RTSP support.
Auso still the best
knock knock
Reolink has out a 24/7 recording battery camera
Will test it soon...
Hey LH aosu is actually pronounced A-Suu but I think the way pronounce it A-oh-soo sounds better than A-Suu.
Thanks for the clarification.

If you're not going to change your doorbell in a couple years why buy the cheap one?
Yeah time to get rid of the dated hardware Ring Doorbells, Amazon going to start charging more now.
Hairline reveal when?
:)
non of them. Cant open the lock no card reader, no fingerprint reader.
You are looking for a smart lock with a video doorbell. I'm not sure you are watching the right video.
