Beautiful home!! I didn’t care for some of choices of furniture in the main foyer and sitting room and living room! Very disappointing since we didn’t get to see the kitchen or a laundry room!😔
Growing up my family owned this house. So many great memories! It was great spending time and holidays/special occasions there. I always said if I made it I would build this house in Texas. Was so sad when the family sold this house! Thank you for making this video! 🤘
I agree. When I sell my home, I would love her to narrate all the upgrades. My house is a new house though...built in 2015. But she is so talented, she would make the sell so quickly.
At first, I thought it was for sale. Could not find the price, and then found just the price of the stay as an air B&B. It is gorgeous! Such fantastic architectural design and a lovely area, as well, so it seems. It would be lovely to spend some time living in such a well-kept mansion! Thank you!
Thank you for another beautiful tour. To echo others, if I ever find myself in Natchez I am definitely staying here! It's a bonus that Pearl is right next door.
I want to share a picture of the house we moved into when i was in high school, 1967. The house was built in 1907 and my parents rented it for 10 years the bought it. My mother sold it in 2002. I recognized much of the architectural features. Our house was much smaller.
This was awesome I always enjoy your tour that you show us your beautiful you explain everything so nicely and the pictures are so clear and beautiful thank you thank you for sharing
Thank you so much for another wonderful tour. You are so lucky that you are able to stay there while you restore your house. I always learn something new with all the historical details you share with us. Thanks.
Gorgeous home. Thanks for another awesome tour. (By the way, I share your passion for pocket doors. I'm not quite with you on the windows yet, but I'm keeping an open mind.)
How beautiful. I love the fretwork (in UK more common in Edwardians, but I know you don’t have that classification in US) and the stain glass window is amazing. However I love all those tiny details like the numbers on the windows just as much, if not more - they just make me smile). Thanks for walking us through another amazing property. I really appreciate how you explain how item/rooms etc would have been used, as a brit who only gets about a few weeks (if we’re lucky) of hot weather I forget how much those large windows and transems would have been appreciated. Every house you show makes me want to move to the states. Thanks again.
Hey y’all!! 👋🏼 I hope you see this, I’ve been following the Instagram for awhile and this is the first time I watched a vid on your YT channel and you’re so good at talking about/ showing the house!!! My home is a old North Carolina farmhouse built in 1905 set right in the forest
My Grandmother, Her Name Was Linton, she Was Named After Our Family Of Linton. You Never Hear 👂 That name Often At All. Does Anyone Know More About the Original Linton ‘s of Linton?
Beautiful woodwork on this one! Tiger Oak!!! It's interesting that the large formal parlor was separated from the entryway only by columns, rather than enclosed with pocket doors. I'm curious about the original builder of the home, especially when I see mantels that are identical to those in Pearl. With the narrow lot and small house between to larger homes, I wonder if Pearl was meant to be a "Mother-in-Law" home, or perhaps a spec house to take advantage of unused land between the two mansions. Many lovely details, yet they are more streamlined than Victorians from earlier periods. Classy, regardless! Glad you can rest your heads with convenience and comfort (and a short commute, LOL), after hours of hard work.
The inclement winter weather! They need a place to enter, remove snow gear and shake of the snow as well as shutting the cold out of the main part of them home before entering
@@OurRestorationNation oh that makes sense! if it isn't obvious, I'm from California, so I know nothing about inclement winter weather haha. Thank you!
@@Emily-qo1gw I only learned this after I moved to Ohio 2002-06. All the restaurants and stores have the double sets of doors with space inbetween to trap cold air and snow and prevent it from coming inside when people enter and take off the snow and extra clothing and shoes.
I absolutely love this house. It was built the same year mine was. If it was mine, the first thing to go would be that white siding. That poor girl is screaming for color. And those beige walls inside…I907… no way. Color would make that wool work really stand out
This was really beautiful. All the original details are, at least in comparison to what passes for luxury today, breathtaking. 1 question: why in all the houses you're showing the picture rail isn't used? It's essential in order to give visual meaning to the rooms proportions
After seeing the vintage splendor, the modern bathroom was a bit a shock. I assume the mistress of the house put her foot down down. ( apparently not quite the purist you are.
Love the house but hate that modern toilet in the bathroom. My 1912 home in Michigan had a modern toilet but the rest of the bathroom was original. I found a nice toilet being discarded from a 1913 home nearby. I installed it with bright polished brass pipe between the tank and bowl and new period style hardware. It looked like a million dollars. Those old toilets are noisier but you can flush a Buick down one without clogging it!
As I explain right in the first 2 minutes of this video: the American architectural period that we call “Victorian” extends until 1910, and some scholars think up until 1923. We have no American “Edwardian” period in the scholarly discussion of architecture
I'd probably spend all my time on that 2nd floor balcony or staring out the window in the study. So pretty!
I have no words....
The architecture is breathtakingly beautiful. It's really sad the wood carving is becoming a lost art.
This is my dream house. Didn’t see one thing that I would change.❤❤
“If I were a rich man 🎶 “
I just had to pick my jaw up off the floor. When she opened the outside door!!! 😲😲😲Then she went through that door into the entryway!!! 😍😍😍
Oh I wish we could go back to those days where houses were wonderful
I thought that was Pearl, next door. When I saw the air-conditioning unit alongside that yellow house. haha. Interesting houses on your street.
Pearl is next door! She has air conditioning!
Beautiful home!! I didn’t care for some of choices of furniture in the main foyer and sitting room and living room! Very disappointing since we didn’t get to see the kitchen or a laundry room!😔
A truly gorgeous home. I’m in love with everything in this house! Thank you, thank you, thank you for showing us this beautiful gem.🌸
So Beautiful! Would of loved to see the kitchen! Love y’all! So informative.
What a neat opportunity for the public to have access to a house like this via airbnb. If I ever get to this area I would love to stay there.

Gorgeous!!!!
Beautiful energy in that house.Very peaceful elegant and well decorated.
This house reminds me of my grandparents house with the molding, the bathrooms… everything! Just gorgeous
Always look forward to your house tours and all the historical knowledge you share with us. Thank you!
This home is absolutely stunning.
As usual a breathtaking tour. Thank you

Love your videos. But missed the kitchen on this one :(
What an absolutely stunning home!
This house is so much to my taste I'm afraid I wouldn't ever want to leave! Thank you so much for the tour.
The dark wood trim and detail inside is fabulous.
I could list a million epithets for this house, especially about its interiors, but I will say only one thing - A house of my dreams!!!
Thank you, Laine! Nice job as usual! This is a gorgeous place!
That seamless gold ceiling is awesome!
What an absolutely gorgeous home! You do a wonderful job filming and giving an informational tour. Thanks! This is one I would love to live in.

Ive always wanted a historic mansion...its gorgeous!!! Love it
As much I always really enjoy watching these beautiful homes it gets me depressed knowing I’ll never own one 😭😭😭
Thank you for another beautiful tour. To echo others, if I ever find myself in Natchez I am definitely staying here! It's a bonus that Pearl is right next door.
I think the dining room was beautiful. That tiger oak mantel! My favorite.
Thank you as always for sharing such wonderful homes!
Thanks again for a marvelous tour, the house seems to be loved as a home, not just a show place. It is stunning with so many unblemished features.
Very beautiful home. God bless
This house is breathtaking !!!

Thanks so much for this tour! These make my day. Loved the front door!!
I appreciate that you shared historical info about Natchez along with info on the house.
Stunning... 9:55 p.m here... love your presentation Lane ❤️. Off to watch Pearl Episode 4 before I hit the pillow 😴😴. Have a wonderful day 💞.
A beautiful home and a wonderful tour. Thank you for sharing!
Oh, wow, just inside the front door and it’s absolutely stunning! Love your vlog. … watching from PA.

The wood that is not been painted is beautiful it looks like it never aged...Which means it must’ve been restored ,this home is beautiful!

Simply beautiful! Love Natchez
So beautiful!

Thank you so much. You so get it. I suspect you may be right about the kinship of the homes. There are definitely similarities.
Stunning property 💖
Beautiful 💖💖😊
The brick fireplace is amazing, so beautiful! Gorgeous home. Would the roof originally of had slate?
It’s hard to say. We don’t see any slate roofs in town so probably not. It could have been pressed tin or shake.
Stunning!!!
Just love it!
gorgeous home! out of curiosity, why are double front doors needed (or more common) in the north?
The inclement winter weather! They need a place to enter, remove snow gear and shake of the snow as well as shutting the cold out of the main part of them home before entering

I live in Kodiak Alaska, and yes, we call those arctic entries. Super useful and convenient!
I love everything about it.
Que linda mansão! Gostaria de morar nessa casa.
I love them big three story houses especially those Georgian & Victorian Mansions!... 👍😏
I love Natchez!

That would be a question for the owners, and unfortunately we don’t have the answer
@@OurRestorationNation wow! Thanks for answering!
Would sure love to see them used though.
Exquisite!
After seeing the vintage splendor, the modern bathroom was a bit a shock. I assume the mistress of the house put her foot down down. ( apparently not quite the purist you are.
If you owned this big house, what name would you call her? You didn't show us a garden out back?
Wunderschön!

Very fun your❤❤😊
Ilove this homes best of the bestim smashing my like botton Texas style yahoooooooooo katakaboooooooooooooooom
They need to oil those front doors. The wood looks really dried and weathered.
Lovely house! Does the mayor still live there?
No. That was just a brief although explosive part of this home’s history.
@@OurRestorationNation I'm a historic restoration specialist. I'm renovating very similar houses now.
How is best way to find Victoria's for sale?
Typically there will be a few realtors in town that are historic home specialists.
What is the round green tufted seat called under the first chandelier?
💖
The American dream ❤
Beautiful home, but that tufted green rounded seating right in the front...😖
Agreed! 😂
Victorian or edwardian?? Hi! Btw, i love the guitar music…

I Think Pearl Has a Tiger Wood Mantel Fireplease?
Why are the front doors so dry ? They could use some oil
Where is the kitchen?
Just off the dining room. They haven’t updated it yet.
Steel magnolias 😊
🙂👍❤️
Gorgeous house but it desperately needs landscaping
no kitchen?
The kitchen is large but hasn’t been updated yet.
What is that ugly tv doing in the family drawing room?
Because it’s 2022 and people like to watch TV in the family room.
Thank God they didn't paint the woodwork.
What a gem. And how lucky are you? To be able to stay there while working on your project. Have a great week.❤️🤍💙
