    I have a very course hair texture. When I decide to go natural, the pain of new growth on my scalp makes me go back to relaxing. And when I relax my hair breaks but bump into one of your videos about protein and moisture conditioner so I’m going back to try again and will post on the feedback. Thank you and keep up the good job. God bless

    Hi! I’m so in love with your hair routine. My hair wash days are so much better since I found you. I have one question though. I tend to get my relaxer every 7 to 8 weeks.
    However, my stylist suggested that I switch to 6 weeks for the summers. My hair is very fragile in the back and tends to break more there than anywhere else so I agree that doing my relaxer earlier will prevent breakage.
    However, after a fresh relaxer and I’m two weeks into my next wash. I find that my hair is breaking after my first wash even when I deep condition, moisture seal my hair, etc like your videos. I wear my hair wrapped in a stain scarf all day and daily so I have a protective style and I take it down every two days to add moisture and seal again. But when I comb it out with my wide tooth comb and brush I notice a lot of hair breaking. Is there anything I’m doing wrong?
    I haven’t tried the bond mender yet so I’m wondering if that will help with my breakage while I’m stretching my relaxer?

    • @HairliciousInc
      @HairliciousInc  2 роки тому +4

      Hey hun!! Awww happy to have you here😘!! I personally think that relaxing every 6 weeks is too soon. I wouldn't recommend it. I believe that your regimen can be tweaked to accommodate the extra breakage you are receiving. Let me know what products you are using (on wash day and in between) and how often you wash & dc your hair.

      @@HairliciousInc thanks for relying. today is my wash day. I’m planning on doing the first protein treatment of the month deep and moisture deep condition.
      The products I use are: shampoo 1: ors olive oil creamy aloe shampoo. Second shampoo: KeraCare hydrating Detang king shampoo.
      Then My protein deep condition: ors: hair mayonnaise with nettle leaf and horsetail extract. 15 mins under dryer.
      Then the moisture deep condition: KeraCare humecto crème conditioner. I also add coconut oil, jojoba oil, rosemary oil, and peppermint oil, to the mixture.
      20 mins under dryer.
      I wash it out, t-shit dry
      Then add so much moisture leave in conditioner and my favorite oils to lock in moisture

    • @HairliciousInc
      @HairliciousInc  2 роки тому +1

      Sounds good. So you’re using protein biweekly? What do you use on moisture wash days? Also, do you use the so much moisture to moisturize every two days?

    • @KendraT12
      @KendraT12 2 роки тому

      @@HairliciousInc no. I protein deep condition once a month. When I simply need a moisture wash I use KeraCare conditioner for my moisture deep condition. Plus, coconut oil, jojoba oil, peppermint oil, rosemary oil. Shampoo with KeraCare. Condition with Aussie conditioner. T-shirt dry.
      Then add my leave in: so much moisture and oils. Blow dry on cold air. While my edges are tied down.
      Once dry I wrap it up. And yes I use the so much moisture every two days with oils to lock in moisture again.
      I did get the crème of nature bond mender and added it into my routine yesterday for my protein wash and it made my hair feel a little rough feeling. It’s not hard but it’s not soft like I usually have it after my wash. I don’t know yet if it helped my breakage yet. I’ll know by next week though.

    Been a natural half my life but I can’t resist watching all types of hair content. But I find it interesting how naturals feel the need to buy these super natural hair products that cost $15.99+ for 8oz . I am ingredients conscious but baby I don’t purchase hair products over $10, and no more than $13 if I’m feeling frisky.
    But I notice youtubers with relaxers use the classic products with silicones, sulfates, parabens, blah blah blah and it does what it needs to do.. like it always have.

    Technically your hair wasn’t Dry if you misted it with water…, however I was intrigued with your process and glad that you inserted in the video that this was not a substitution of Shampoo before Deep conditioning. Thanks for posting.

    Would have liked to enjoy the video but the music was very distracting so I turned it off.
