I think that if the item or costume is from the company and not some knock off or home made, then the better the results. Probably also has to do with what others said, how much the scp thing has to work with. So a full fur suit would probably yield better results than half of one. (I think the garchomp had a full suit on as he was the most close to looking like the og)

Though a side note reveals that Ser Viper had contacted Bandai and Square Enix sometime before the Foundation got involved with The Pokémon Company, so Digimon and Final Fantasy might not be safe anymore in the world of SCP…

As a pokemon fan, a transformation fan, and someone who once had similar ideas more than a few times (including for an entire mystery series), I absolutely loved this story! I feel so bad for the victims tho… Edit: I’m actually starting to come up with my own version/continuation based on my series, where the victims get taken to a special secret facility where they can be taken care of, either brought there by the Foundation or by the mysterious Caretaker, who does his best to look after them, making sure they’re all safe and comfortable Edit2: ahhh I didn’t realize there were so many comments to this! Aura, Lucario used aura to attack as well as sense others. Its most famous move is aura sphere and I’m pretty sure the Lucario-girl was using agility or Quick Attack as Lucario can learn either one Gengar guy unknowingly used the ability levitate to float. Weezing also can have that ability but I guess due to the transformation on the siblings not being humanoid they couldn’t use it. That or they had Weezing’s other ability Natural Gas. I’m pretty sure the Squirtle guy use withdraw to protect himself and the Garchomp guy used dig to escape at first. Garchomp-guy might also have the ability rough skin to explain his hard skin. I would suggest the foundation create an MTF that knows not only about Pokémon but their moves and abilities to deal with 5254. Maybe have some kind of tech or have an agent turned into an instance that can use Foresight or Oder Sleuth on those that turned into ghost type Pokémon just to be safe as those moves nullify ghost types tangibility toward normal attack.
I'd also request to just capture and contain the infected and put them in an enclosed ecosystem like all the others, so that A, no one has to die, and B, they are able to test from a safe distance.
I mean, this one is cool as an idea but horrifying in what it actually does to people, leaving them not fully transformed and not even at their will, via what's most likely an very painful process.

i could see this scp evolving and spreading. it becomes easier to survive and spreads faster., and transformations become more.. complete. before you know it. the world this scp is in becomes just like pokemon.. it soon becomes a virus that spreads better then the common cold. priceless

Aura, Lucario used aura to attack as well as sense others. Its most famous move is aura sphere and I’m pretty sure the Lucario-girl was using agility or Quick Attack as Lucario can learn either one
Gengar guy unknowingly used the ability levitate to float. Weezing also can have that ability but I guess due to the transformation on the siblings not being humanoid they couldn’t use it. That or they had Weezing’s other ability Natural Gas.
I’m pretty sure the Squirtle guy use withdraw to protect himself and the Garchomp guy used dig to escape at first. Garchomp-guy might also have the ability rough skin to explain his hard skin.
I would suggest the foundation create an MTF that knows not only about Pokémon but their moves and abilities to deal with 5254. Maybe have some kind of tech or have an agent turned into an instance that can use Foresight or Oder Sleuth on those that turned into ghost type Pokémon just to be safe as those moves nullify ghost types tangibility toward normal attack.

I'd also request to just capture and contain the infected and put them in an enclosed ecosystem like all the others, so that A, no one has to die, and B, they are able to test from a safe distance.

Normally I’d say Game Freak would never do such a thing, but then again, normally I wouldn’t know about the internal lore of the Pokémon world and why Typhlosion is no longer allowed within 500 feet of schools either, so… 😏

If you very much desire something that may only exist in fiction, yet you have it even accidentally happen to you in real life, then it goes against common sense to panic about it like a sheep without it's head. It's just not realistic behaviour at all. You could argue that "oh the scp is a fictional universe, the rules of normalcy don't apply" but then i would argue back that it is inconsistent in other articles.

This SCP is pretty much one of few mascot horror-based stories that actually like. Balance both mascot and horror side together. But more emphasis on the latter side.
