Hi patricksullivan224, thank you for your positive comment, our van is working perfectly with this fix, just remember to open all your taps in future when you put it into storage, I still struggle to remember.
Same issue with my Sprite Caravan, don't really use onboard shower often/at all so forgot to open it after final trip before last winter. Frost killed it. I'm installing same tap, found your video very useful Thanks. Struggled with the sound quality on a few bits but very helpful I'm off to pull it to bits now😁, Cheers
Hi Dave, thanks for the comment, we have been out in ours numerous times since the repair, no problems at all. Glad you found the video useful, sorry about the sound, wasn’t my accent was it😂
Hi, thank you for the positive comments, I purchased this mixer tap from eBay a seller called Caratech-Caravan Parts, which are based in Lincoln here in the UK. From your question I guess you are in the USA, I don’t know if they will ship there, but check it out.
Hi dedewill5258, thanks for your comment, the reason it burst was because the water was still under pressure from the non-return valve at the fresh water tank and the hot water heater tank to all the taps as they were closed. If I had opened just one of the taps the pressure would of been relieved. When the frost struck the weakest part of the system is the little green pin which is sacrificial and designed to break in this way. If I had opened the taps there would still be water in the pipes, but they are flexible enough to cope with the expanding ice, this is why none of the pipes in any caravan or motorhome are lagged.
Thank-you so much for your video I am in the process of exactly the same problem and your video has made my life a lot better thx again ..

Hi, thanks for a very good video on how to change a shower faucet. May I ask where you bought the mixer?

I take it the frost does the damage would it not be a good idea to insulate the pipes
