This interview is very touching; this man has a lot of knowledge and experience with horses. The bad this how he was thrown by the way side because of an accusation. If a mason goes to jail for a crime do you stop him from building house or a truck driver go to jail do you said he can't drive truck again for a living. Ren Gonzales was a part of this mess with the old colonial mentality, he is not the only jockey they stiffle, more man is on that track who can tell their story of not getting 12 rides/year and lost their license.
I agree with you family, I hard that sometimes Ren Gonzales used to bear some of the apprentices and this 12 rides per year for apprentices is foolishness, what if a jockey is not liked ?
Interesting interview, Mada. Neville Stultz has really moved around. I'm a Jamaican in Trinidad. I have met both Edmund de Freitas and Joe Hadeed, although they wouldn't remember. I think I also knew the horse Mr Stultz put Gary Subratie on for his first ride. Steve Reeves was a chestnut colt being trained by Emma Chen, who lived nearby when I lived on Chelsea Avenue, near Half Way Tree. God rest her soul. I hope he finally has the success he deserves after all these years.
@@CaymanasPuntersParadise It's my pleasure, Michelle. I was born in 1961. Please bring more articulate, knowledgeable people like Mr Stultz. Incidentally, I had the privilege of meeting Arthur Sharpe, champion trainer from the 70s, in St Kitts, where he has lived for many years.
@@butafogo1 ok great welcome to Caymanas Punters Paradise we will try and drop a few interesting persons from time to time as we do not plan interviews we just do random clips once the people are willing to chat be blessed
