The ‘80s were nicknamed “The Decade of Excess”. We did everything overboard. The drum sets were massive because that’s what was cool. How silly it would’ve been to see this band with a small drum kit. Just think about it. The guitar solo was awesome. The vocals were really high. The outfits were flashy. The hairs were big.
TNT are from Norway with an American singer Tony Harnell, a seriously great band, this song is from the album 'Tell No Tales' (1987), I'm sure the whole album is on youtube somwhere, give it a listen it's a great album
Yes. for sure. Band is Overlooked to me. I think they deserved a ton more recognition. Saw them live twice in the 80s and was glad to be part of that era. Peace.
I still remember hearing this for the first time on a compilation album called so heavy it hurts, I loved that album so much, i was devastated when my tape deck chewed a part of the tape, but I did the old chop and fix, then popped it back into walkman and played it to death lol. And if i remember correctly this song was followed by warlocks 3 minute warning. But there was definitely something special about the hair metal bands ,from their lyrics, sounds and sets to their looks and videos. Get reaction and much respect and love for keeping great music alive. 🙂
OMG! Thank you for playing this! I knew the band name, but the song was only alittle familiar...then I see this video and it all came together...I do remember this! Think I was about 18 when this came out...more focused on work than when I was younger, so I wasn't as tuned into new music unless they played the Strip in Hollywood.
It's not reversed they are VOLUME SWELLS - you strike the note with little or no volume on your guitar then twist the Volume Knob up. See CATHEDRAL by VAN HALEN or watch the Tommy Video you can see the guitarist twist the knob on his Guitar!
Where you asked if they reversed something, I think he’s just starting the note with the volume down and quickly turning it back up, like a swell effect
They sound like reversed phrases to me, with a post-reversal swell added. Regular swells hit kinda different. I think those opening 4 notes of the solo sound spliced together as well. Be interesting to know what actually went on in the studio there. Not to take away from his playing though, because once you get past those first half of the solo, there is some very clean, fast phrasing there. I think bands and engineers did stuff for shits n giggles sometimes.
This band very much under rated. I love this bands sound they rock!
Super song, 10.000 lovers

Ronnie Le Tekro and Tony Harnell (as was TNT) were greatly underrated. Phenomenal band.
Not really, they sold around 4 million copies within few years, the band died in 92.
@@epoxy1710they are still playing man and also working on a new album!
@@montana47261 It doesn't matter when every album after Intuition has been a flop with extreme poor sales.
@@epoxy1710 doesn't matter !? Why do you answer like an idiot? If you don't like them get fuck out of here !
I could hear this song over and over and over and over
Great song, great album, great band!

Tony Harnell (a personal friend from before he joined TNT) has the best voice in metal

The drum set is a Jon Bonham influence
They cut the hell out of the solo...listen to the uncut version, if you haven't already.
Guys like this song better than girls. I guess we appreciate great music.
I don't know about that. I like TNT.
Tony Harnell was the best , then.
How about Wither by Circus Maximus…you won’t be sorry
Before auto tune
Tony harnell is better singer live. Unlike most
