As a Nadal fan, I went through the whole range of emotions in this one. Great optimism pre-match, genuine surprise in the first few games as Shapo started hot, concern as the first set was over, dismay and fear as the second set started just like the first and Rafa was in danger of being hammered, then it was relief when he came back to take the second. In the third, it was again concern when he went a break down, relief as he broke back, fear as he went down match points, pure relief when each was saved and then sheer elation as he fought back to win. I was taken by surprise by Shapovalov's level as he did not have great credentials on clay.

Shapovalov played better and deserved to win more than Nadal. Nadal just cheated and dodged. Thanks to small tricks and won. Nadal is not worthy of respect
