- It's been a while since we've gone on a cruise but now we're headed to the Caribbean on Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas out of Miami. At this port, we sail out of Terminal A. Because the Miami cruise port is so large, I've put together a video to help guide you through terminal A and onto the ship.
Hope you find this video helpful and hit like if you do.
Thanks for letting me ramble and please remember to subscribe to the Rambling with Phil UA-cam channel to see more of our adventures on the Oasis of the Seas and other travel videos like this one. Also ring that bell to be notified of new Oasis of the Seas videos when they're released!
You can drop luggage off first. Super convent drive around garage, follow drop off signs and porters are lined up to grab bags right out of trunk. Then do a u-turn into garage.
Thanks for your comment and for watching! We will try that next time.
Thanks for the heads up!!
Just did this cruise in NOV LOVED THIS SHIP. Was the easiest boarding in 19 yrs
It definitely is a great ship to cruise on!
Thanks for watching & for your comment!
@Rambling With Phil, there is a trolley to Dodge Island. I've seen some video people walking from one port to another and where there is sidewalks, so people can choose to stroll and take their time and go the cheaper route. However, your videos did not show or mention anything about other options other than driving.
Thank you for pointing out those options
Hey what you suggest. I live in Orlando, do you think it's better to drive the day of the cruise or fly in then take a taxi?..we are a family of 6.
We live in the Tampa area & we like to drive. We usually drive down the day of ourselves.
very helpful, thanks. I always get nervous about getting around to find parking.
You're very welcome. Thanks for your comment and for watching!
You said the box to drop off the tickets? Do you mean when you are finished and leaving? Or you hold on to ticket the whole time? Ty
I meant you use the box after your cruise. When you are leaving to go home, you use the “box” to pay for parking. It makes it faster when you get to the exit gate.
If the Terminal A parking garage is full, can I go to the nearest garage to park? Or do I have to use the other garage for RCI cruises, near Terminal G?
I have never experienced this myself but according to the Royal Caribbean blog, if the garage is full, they will direct you to another terminal for parking and then provide a shuttle back to Terminal A if that happens.
Thanks for watching and for your question!
Can I ask about what time you arrived? It seemed to have no lines for boarding at all!
We got there around noon if I recall. We usually try to get there early enough to have a (free) lunch so that we're not too full for dinner. It also let's us enjoy the ship before everyone gets aboard.
Thanks for your comment/question and for watching!!
Can you pay in advance to park at port or is it first come first serve. any advice?
Unfortunately, I have not found any information that indicates that you can pay for parking in advance at the Miami Cruise Port Terminal A. Sorry I can't be of more help.
I couldn’t hear what the guy said when you were grabbing your parking ticket. Did he say you pay now or when your cruise is over?
You pay when the cruise is over. There are kiosks when you get off the elevator.
Thanks for watching!
@@RamblingWithPhil ok great, thanks for the reply. This video was very helpful. Going on SOS next week and getting to the terminal has me stressed. It helped to see your POV driving to it. TY!
Have fun on your cruise!
How much is for parking ? Do you have to reserve ?
We didn't reserve parking - we just showed up. According to the Port Miami website, the cost for parking is $25/night for cruises of 6 days or more and $28/night for cruises 5 nights or less.
Thanks for watching!
Did you have to pay with the ticket box before or after your sail?
We paid after. Sorry it wasn't clear.
Thanks for watching and for your question!
How much is the parking fee? I will be cruising for 7 days via RC.
Based on some internet research, the parking cost at Miami Terminal A is about $28/day ... thanks for your question and for watching!
How long was the process from entering terminal to boarding?
It was less than half an hour for us when we went on our cruise. There was very little waiting in lines.
Thanks for watching!
@@RamblingWithPhil Thanks!
@@mleite172 You're welcome!
How much is parking?
@@jennifergithens3985 As of today ... For cruises 6 days or more it's $25/night, for 5 nights or less it's $28/night. It's one of the more expensive rates we've experienced.
Thanks for watching!
hey phil, there is a way to arrive to cruise terminal from airport using some public transportation? thanks
There is apparently a public transportation option but I've never taken it since we always drove to the port. I would suggest Google-ing public transportation to Miami cruise port to see the most up to date information on your options as I'm sure they are constantly changing.
Thanks for watching and for your question!
Is all royal Caribbean terminal A?
How’d u find out the terminal sorry I’m dumb lol
I believe that terminal A at the Miami cruise port is all Royal Caribbean. As for how I found out the terminal, I think it was in our cruise info somewhere. I don't know that it was obvious though.
Thanks for watching and for your questions!
