    Thank you for this video. We will be driving to Miami from Philadelphia in August. We need to know everything about parking. Did you have to make reservations prior to your arrival or is it general first come first serve....grab a ticket & park?

    • @RamblingWithPhil
      @RamblingWithPhil 17 днів тому

      We usually just show up and grab a ticket. The main thing is knowing which terminal you are departing from and whether you are returning to the same terminal. In this video, we departed from Terminal A but returned to G so that's why we parked there (at Terminal G). This past November, we departed from G but returned to D ... they had a shuttle bus for us to take from Terminal D to the garage at Terminal G where we parked. This is not typical but can happen. Have fun on your cruise!

    I just emptied the transmission on my T1N including the TC. I followed the service manual instructions and was guided by your video. Thank you. So far so good. Ready to refill now. The service manual doesn't say anything about a two-step fill, but some users here say so. Fill about 4Q, start engine, refill. Makes sense but also seems unncesserary because I am assuming the ATF will start sipping into the TC once the pan is full enough. You didn't mention the two steps. What is your recommendation? Thank you!

    • @RamblingWithPhil
      @RamblingWithPhil 17 днів тому

      After draining and refilling the first time, I drove the van and checked/added more transmission fluid multiple times until the level of the fluid on the dipstick was consistent. I think I drove it about 3 times total before I was comfortable that the level was where it should be. Thanks for watching and for your comment!

    Don't spend money on a replacement arm until you read this! I had a similar problem, the upper arm wasn't getting enough water pressure to spin the arm. A new arm did not fix it. I pulled the dishwasher out (after unplugging) found the impeller motor, opened it up (tutorials on youtube) and found it clogged. I cleaned it, put the dishwasher in its place and it worked fine. Free fix!

    My Whirlpool has two pumps underneath that are relatively easy to turn and remove. I am assuming one for recirculation and one for drainage. I found my recirculation pump completely clogged with soggy paper and hair. Definitely led to poor pump circulation/efficiency and prevented pressure getting water to the top rack. Easy fix and giving to my son.

    • @RamblingWithPhil
      @RamblingWithPhil 2 місяці тому

      Navigating the island was pretty easy. There aren’t a lot of roads & some of the golf cart rental places have maps. The most difficult part was remembering to drive on the left. We had the cart for about 4-5 hours but we could have kept it longer (until we needed to board the ship). Every place is different though so you should confirm with whoever you rent from.

    Nice video. Obviously there's not much to changing the oil in this, but afterwards I have a small oil leak coming from the underneath side of where the drain plug is located. It's more to the rear of that flat section but for the life of me I can't figure out what would have created it. The angle of the hole to fill the oil is a bit wonky so I was hoping I spilt some and it's still working its way out of the nooks and cranny's but it's still getting a paper towel wet. Any ideas by chance?

    • @RamblingWithPhil
      @RamblingWithPhil 3 місяці тому

      The only thing I can think of is possibly unscrew the plug a bit and then retighten. Otherwise you might need to remove completely & check for a good seal but that means potentially draining the oil you just put in … or you could just wait and see if it stops. It might be oil that spilled somewhere else when draining & just hasn’t dripped off yet. Good luck!

      @@RamblingWithPhil Thanks for your response. Much to my surprise, I believe it was simply the type of oil. I knew in our area it called for SAE30 for the most part, but it seemed to me 10w-30 would be ok too. Evidently that's not the case although it's odd to me how it could leak just due to that fact alone. It would leak some for several days after running but after replacing it with SAE30 I can't see any leaks so far after running some this morning. Just weird to me but hopefully that's all it was. Take care

    • @RamblingWithPhil
      @RamblingWithPhil 6 місяців тому

      It’s kind of subjective but for us it was worth the extra $250 per person that we paid because we used points for the original tickets. We found out it was slightly cheaper to upgrade after boarding but there aren’t always seats available. So if you don’t pre-book, you might be out of luck. The seats recline more and you have more space so that was nice for the 9 hour flight. We would do this again if the price was right. Enjoy your cruise next year!
