Маркулия!!! Очень красиво!!❤❤ I love this ballet, but I have to say that for me personally Conrad is just a side guy compared to Ali. It's like Ali is doing all the job but Conrad receives the flowers maybe because he is dating Medora, the leading character. Every time I see Le Corsaire, Conrad's character always gives the impression that he is not a real pirate but a prince in disguise, like Sigfrid or Albrecht pretending to be a pirate for some reason. I just can't get to embrace him as a whole if you know what I mean. I feel like there is something missing. Or maybe it's just me...
This production of Corsaire is staged by Manuel Legris, so the story is quite different from the usual. In this production there is no such character as Ali. We have only Birbanto as a sidecick, who later betrays Conrad, tries to kill him and steals Medora, becoming the vilain of the story. So in this version of Le Corsaire Conrad is a legitimate hero character.
@@JeronimelisThank you for the explanation. I just dedicated attention to this perfirmance for the sake of seeing Marko Juusela; knowing that Ali is not even there has thrown me off, however.. But at least Birbanto is there to keep the real pirate spirit alive, thing that Medora's boyfriend doesn't carry on him at all.
