- On this episode we are kicking off 2024 with an incredible road trip to the Pacific Northwest! We start by traveling from Las Vegas to Seattle, where the picking was fantastic! We go thrifting and do some lighting picking at an estate sale with over 75 years worth of items! Then we celebrate New Years Eve on a cruise overlooking the Emerald City Skyline!

Loved your visit to Seattle with the great estate sale. But at the first Goodwill you didn't check a pair of milk glass hobnail candlesticks in the first row to check if they were Fenton. I would have scooped them up! Keep sharing your journey!
Welcome to Washington/Seattle. A born and bred Seattleite here, although it's been many years since I lived there. I moved a whole 30 miles (give or take) south. Some really nice finds at that estate sale for sure. That Victory at Sea reel to reel brought back a lot of memories. I can remember as a child watching that on TV every week. Having 4 uncles on my mom's side (one was at Pearl Harbor when the attack happened), in the Navy, guess it was of interest to my mom. I don't remember much about the program except the opening music and the big battle ship.

Congratulations Picker Road Family. You succeeded in bringing us along on a fantastic trip. Only professionals could talk to us from the Airport at 3am, fly to Seattle, check in to their lodgings and go off picking. Yikes!!!! It was fun seeing inside a Good Will in Seattle. Baby shoes 😄 yes I am 69 yrs and still have mine. There is a place to put an 8 x 10 picture. They were packed away until last year when I finally set them out. I have no idea why I'm keeping them?

It's funny when you say "old part of Seattle"; where are you speaking of, as most of Seattle and outlying areas are the old parts?? Remember, you're in the land of Microsoft, Boeing, Starbucks, Nintendo, to name a few. That chest is a bank. Seattle is great if you can avoid all the drug addicts that are around every corner. Glad you enjoyed the good parts of the city.
