I am an elevenlabs user and love it. One bad thing the UX in elevenlabs is that can only have three voices from the library. Which means that if you want to experiment with different voices you need to remove a voice (from your three) and add an other one. Still a large amount of voices to pick from but a bunch of extra clicks.

So interesting, same thing happens to me with a black version, can never understand how people even look at a black screen with white words, they hurt my eyes..
A guy in the bushes with a gun is not an assassination attempt, any more than a guy squaring off is a punch in the face, and I have my suspicions about the first "attempt." It's odd that the Secret Service would let him stand up without protection and yell fight, fight. It's odd to me that he would do that. Bullies are cowards.
One of your best conversations gents. Great tech and informative discussion w the team developing. Really strong approach. Do have to ask, we're you guys on happy gas or something? My teenage daughters are like this when overly excited. Bottle it and will make millions!! Enjoy both your shows, mojo and content
Feel free to use the voice "Hugo on the Go" - specifically crafted for ElevenReader based on professional studio recordings of thousands of academic studies and news articles.
pretty sure there's open source alternatives. I use one to clone. I'm looking for something that will translate though. I can't stand these Matt wolf infomercial videos, I click on them and I suspect that they will just have nothing but fluff, and it seems like I was right again
Exactly, its great but they are priced out from what most people can afford. Many creators know of eleven labs but ignore news about it cause its just so expensive.
Long time 11Labs customer. Need better options for editing pronunciation with a pre-trained voice. You can upload marked up pronunciation, but would be great to add a custom editor for the inline voice generator.
Pretty interesting video but boy I haven't heard so much giggling since my 9 year old daughter's birthday party. Hopefully, they will incorporate translation directly in the app rather than making users do their own which is a bit offputting. Definitely missing a big revenue they can easily fix. Would have appreciated some idea of the costs involved, including for running a widget on a website. I get the GenFM for personal podcasts on the phone but would think professionals would be using a desktop app. Their range of voices is definitely a plus over NotebookLM but the inputs appear limited and the conversation was relatively stilted. Hopefully, their competition will push Google to improve, but I see their lead product manager has recently left
"the consumer wins" he says. Lol, yeah, once (and if) we have UBI, the consumer wins. For now we just see all the call center folks losing their jobs, thanks to this wonderful technology (I'm not sarcastic - I love the technology. There are implications though)
And call center people are the salt of the Earth. 🙄 Actually, I've come across some great tech support people, along with some assh*les trying to scam me in one way or another.
Perhaps this technology could be used to modify the accents in real time of foreign support desk agents to reduce the assumptions of cultural-language barriers
I experimented with eleven labs but it didn’t do a good job of matching our voices - also it didn’t have very good customer support and nobody ever got back to me so on paper it looks good but until it has better customer support ..
I used 11 labs from the start. SO, no. 11 labs allowed celebrity cloned voices. Then once they got a name, they banned celebrity voices. Took about a year and a half.
When you say “customGPT”, Does it include fine tuning the model or not? Without mentioning if you are using NLP fine tuning the model, it sounds like a scam designed for those who have no idea about what’s the most important part of creating a custom GPT
You mention X alot: I personally do not Support Elon Musk due to his politics, we need alternatives Do not even like to mention X to our audience in San Jose and the World. Just because technology moves in that direction is who do you support, 'government of the people, by the people, for the people" is famously attributed to President Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address delivered in 1863.

Thats just Matt’s normal personality- and is infectious. I watch his other main channel and Matt is like that friend whom rolls that doobie at every meeting.
AI has already ruined the entire music industry. Cher started it as a gimmick, now its an industry cover-up. The Music media is not covering the biggest story in music, fake vocals: vocals that are autotuned, pitch corrected, or vocals mimed in concert performances. Each day more and more people are learning their favorites are fake. Fake is rampant. But is that fact or opinion? The technology that allows a person to auto tune and pitch correct a voice, is also the technology that proves when a singer is using it. No human can sing with perfect pitch. But anyone reading this can sing better than anyone that has ever lived, by pushing a button! Fake is rampant, but most listeners refuse to believe it's true. Fil of Wings of Pegasus, using Pitch Monitoring Software, has analyzed songs requested by viewers. Here is a partial list of some of those major performers, caught with fake vocals: Eagles, Bee Gees, Freddie Mercury, Simon and Garfunkel, Taylor Swift, Lenny Kravitz, Celine, Pentatonix, Creed, Whitney Houston, Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd, Bryan Adams, Mariah Carey, Charli XCX, Michael Buble, Adam Levine, Ariana Grande, the Wicked film, The X Factor, AMA Awards Show, MTV Awards Show, BTS and most K-Pop groups, The First Take UA-cam channel, etc. This is now an industry standard practice of all three major labels that control 70% of the music industry directly, Warners, Universal, and Sony. This fakery not only cheats fans but is unfair to artists like Billie Eilish, Adele, Pink, U2, Lainy Wilson, or Roger Daltry, who don't use it. People need to know when there are fake vocals pretending to be real talent.

We have wanted that for a while
Yeah, this limitation constrains the usefulness of the tech right now.
Human voice actors are still better for most things.

The voice to voice is sweet! Glad to see elevenlabs doing well!
