Di Indonesia puasa dimulai pada jam 3 pagi dengan melakukan sahur/makan terlebih dahulu dan pada saat solat Subuh sekitar jam 04.10 itu sudah dilarang makan,minum, berbuat apa yang dilarang Allah hingga jam 6 sore lalu boleh "makan,minum"

Hi, Dear Clevi. I'm here to explain you a little bit about fasting in Ramadan. We, Indonesian muslim, waking up at 3 o'clock in the morning. Serving food for the family and start eating after it's ready. We stop eating 10 minute before athan at 4.30 am more or less (a call for morning praying time (shubuh)). We break our fast when athan or a call for maghrib pray at 6 pm (more or less) is coming. During fasting, we do not eat or drink anything even medicine. And many other activity that shall not to do during fasting because it could broke or cancel the fasting itself. Ok, that's it. a little explanation from me. Beg a pardon for my English that is not fluent enough 🙏🏻 thank you for reading this

I saw some people have answered your questions but i'll add a bit. The fasting starts from sunrise to sunset. We usually eat first before sunrise (we call it suhoor), so we would wake up around 3-4 AM to eat and drink. And when we hear the first adzan of the day (it's the call for prayer) in the morning (usually around 4.30 - 5 AM depending on where you live) we stop eating and drinking basically everything till the sunset where there will be another call for prayer (we pray 5 times in a day and we break the fast after the 4th prayer). Then we are free to eat and drink again till tomorrow sunrise. We do it everyday for a whole month. Also you must have heard the word takjil being said around. It's basically the food/beverage that you consume to break your fast. Usually it's some snacks or something sweet. Just something light to start your stomach before you eat the full meal later. Anyway, i'm glad to see you enjoying the video so much. I hope this video will help show the world the beauty of Islam as well as the beauty of Indonesia.

Muslim fasting begin from sunrise and break it at sunset Clevy. In Indonesia, it's mostly from around 4:30 am until 6:00 pm.
And we literally not eating and drinking, we don't swallow anything through our mouth.
And there are also some exception for someone that allowed to not fasting. Like pregnant women, people who are sick, and else.

8:37 fasting in islam start from fajr till mahgrib, from sunrise till sunset, when we are fasting we are not allowed to eat and drink at all, not only that we are not allowed to think or do a bad thing, no sexual activity. Be good, be passion, pray, read a qur'an, doing a good deed. Try as hard as we can to be the best version of ourselves. Because Allah said in this month (ramadhan) our good deeds will be rewarded multiple times compare to another month if we do it only for Allah, not for another worldly reason

I like to answer a little bit about fasting in Islam. Fasting generally entails abstaining from food, drink, and sexual relations from before the first light of dawn until the setting of the sun. Muslims are required to fast on each of the 29 to 30 days of Ramadan. If unable to fast, charity or fasting days outside Ramadan may suffice. In Islam, there are several excuses for not fasting Ramadan, including prepubertal children, women during their menstrual period or postnatal bleeding, travelers, pregnant or breastfeeding women who believe fasting for long hours may cause harm to either themselves or their babies,[21] the elderly who cannot tolerate fasting, the mentally disabled and the sick whom fasting will aggravate their condition. (taken from some online sources).

During Ramadhan, all muslims don't eat nor drink, nor having sex for spouses during the days. For pregnant or in period women and sick ppl, they are allowed to not fasting but they need to substitute the amount of the days on the other months after holy month of Ramadhan but before the next Ramadhan. Halo Clevy, all muslim must be fasting, except for illnes people. For pregnant woman its depend for her health. For adults who can not fasting, he can replace with donation that we call with sedaqah.

Pregnant woman, people who ill, little kids and old people don't have to do the fasting in Ramadhan. But they can feed the poor people (fidyah) instead (except for kids, they have to do fasting after they hit puberty)
Also in Ramadhan, we cannot eat or drink, having bad thoughts, angry, having sex, smoking, even taking any medicine (including shots) from Dawn til Dusk. You may to do those things, but you may failed the task of fasting that day. And if that happen, you have to do the fasting again in another day outside Ramadhan month.

Fasting start from before sunrise to sunset. We're not eat or drink during fasting. When break the fast its called Iftar. In my city Medan we fasting from 5.10 AM till 18.40 PM. Pregnant is ok if not fasting. But they will pay on the end of ramadan, Zakat(charity) some stuff like that. Theres some people allowed not to fasting during ramadan.

Salam, sis. I will try to explain simply to you about fasting in Islam.
So, those who are obliged to fast are:
1. Those who are physically and mentally healthy.
2. Have reached puberty or reached adulthood.
Those who are not required to fast include:
1. Those who are unhealthy, both mentally and physically.
2. Mothers who are breastfeeding.
3. Women who are in their menstrual period.
4. Minors.
5. People who are on a long journey.
The length of fasting time depends on which region you are in.
But what is certain is that it applies from dawn to dusk.
Fasting in Islam is really about not eating and drinking, not making out, not smoking, and other things that can break the fast itself.

Fasting in Islam means, you not eat and drink from dawn (subuh) till maghrib or the early sunset, and not doin intercourse, hold your anger emotions, hold your tongue from dirty words, basically not doin all the bad deeds...
Are you catholic? My friends doing fasting too sometimes. They're only drink pure water during fasting. That's why I recognise which one is catholic and which one is protestan among my friends...
