I was laughing so hard when one of them asked: "Why are they not surprised by this?!" And I'm like: "Bro, it's an ordinary scene in the Philippines." 😂
That's exactly the main reason why you need to have extra ordinary talent to be a singer or performer here in the Philippines simply because there are lots of gifted person when it comes to music and you need to get their approval...SB19 has that extra ordinary talent individually and it just makes it more amazing when they perform it as a group.
Or sometimes, you need to be very famous or you need to have a very wealthy backer or company...there's a lot springing around even before despite not even being able to carry a tune without the help of auto tune. If you have a wealthy company with huge influence, even if there's someone or group better than you, you'd still be on top. Even if your attitude is bad, like being passive aggressive and mild gaslight anyone, your company would still make it look like you're cool. It's sad how this is going. And then people wonder where the next generation is getting their attitudes from.
You guys seriously need to meet SB19. They are such nice people and I'm sure they'll be great people to chat with. Please film a vlog within this year of you going to the Philippines. Stell is the most talkative member so i feel like you guys will love chatting with him. Future collab?! 👀🫶🫶
Singing is part of Filipino lives. It’s one of few hobbies that everyone can afford. These people may seemed really good, but because this is very common in most Filipino household, therefore the competition to become the best one is very tough. You have to be not only a great singer, you also have to be a great rapper, dancer, and have the looks. Even SB19 as a boy group faced a lot of criticisms when they started. Filipinos are more lenient to foreign artists when it comes to singing. It is tougher when you’re a Filipino.
Yes it's true that ordinary people here in the Philippines can sing like that at any occasions even everyday,..u see that the people around is not paying attention coz it's really normal here...come visit here and you'll see it for yourselves thank u so much for appreciating Filipino skills in singing,...waiting for your next RV of sb19
*I'm a Canadian of Ukranian descent who married a Filipino. I dare say it isn't just the presence of karaokes and singing parties in the Philippines that makes them great singers. As I've observed, they really are just naturally musically inclined. It has been part of their daily lives, great music and great singing. And it is a gift. My husband's a chef, and when we cook together, he also sings to me. I, on the other hand, can't carry a tune to save my life, so I just hum with him while he's singing lol*
Its a normal day here in Philippines hearing people at any ages singing at their own homes, with karaoke, inside their backyard or in most any occassions or simple gatherings, like just being with your friends around, or just being at home having a good time 😂or in even in small partys like birthdays, weddings, fiestas name it😂.that's how filipinos way of enjoying time with family or friends.Singing is almost everywhere here andeven at late nights or early morning, actually anytime of the day..😂were used to it and we grew up with it 😅..It doesnt matter if u sing like a pro or just gifted but a lot of filipinos are really good when it comes to singing ❤ Thank u Purple Twins for this RV.. ❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰God bless u guys and to ur show..
Come to the Philippines and you'll hear your neighbor singing in the middle of the night ,like this😆🤣😆😅😂 . I don't know if you'll be angry for disturbing your sleep or you're just gonna let them be 😅. Thank you for always appreciating Filipino talents💜
We love singing so much that almost every household has a karaoke machine. For most Filipinos, singing is our way of distressing ourselves from whatever we are going through in life. I mean when we are heartbroken and in despair we just sing our hearts out then after that, life must go on. Whatever the occasion is singing is just a part of every Filipino. By the way, I hope your wish to meet Sb19 will come true. Kudos to your channel. God bless🤍☮️
Just another day in the life of us Filipinos! If you're craving some top-tier entertainment, just crash a birthday bash, a baptismal, or any shindig for that matter. We're all about the company and the crowd-pleasing talents! It's like a national sport, really.
The Philippines known for the land of great singers!!It's normal for us to sing. Every household has a karaoke machine. Even in malls,Terminals,Restaurants,Markets,Ships,Bus and etc. There are karaoke machines everywhere. Singing is just a part of our daily lives. When we were just a child we were taught how to sing. When you go to the Philippines, wherever you go, you can see or find very good singers!! 🔥🇵🇭🎤
Yes, Pilipinos love to sing and smile. Life might be harder for millions but they will never, ever let that ruin their lives...so they sing and smile. Thank you for reacting to this.
the first ones...they are the Clash boys, they were contestants on singing competition, they are all good singers. jong, the one with cap. josh wearing eyeglasses and garett, one with braids. they are pro singers now. lol
Singing is inherent in the culture. Karaoke machines are in every street corner readily available for those who want to kill time and relieve stress🥰✌️🙏💜💜💜
Filipinos were already hooked to singing wherever and whenever they are, even before the invention of karaoke. A guitar is all it takes in ordinary singing pasttimes. As for me during my early years, I sing when I am cooking, washing the dishes, washing clothes and when in the company of friends. Singing contests was my hobby but I did not intend to make it a career because I was happy with my work, doing it to relax after a stressful day. Despite lack of sleep(many contests finished when already morning) I still managed to go to work, but slept during lunchbreak and skipping lunch.
The first 3 guys are all product of the first season of The Clash singing competition in the Philippines back in 2018. The braided-hair guy in the far left is Gareth Bolden, a mainstay of Philippine Sunday-musical variety show AOS, is also a Broadway actor. The guy in the middel is Josh Adornado, a member of a PPop group and the last guy is Jong Madaliday. All of them can really sing well
Since elementary school,we have needed to sing a variety of songs, including our national anthem, with a high pitch during assembly before going to our respective classrooms.
Most Filipinos can sing decently that's why our idols and pro-singers have to be excellent or they won't be appreciated by the masses. I remember watching you Taewoon in one of your interviews in 2021 where you said about idols not getting the respect they deserve. It's so true here in the Philippines. It is not enough that you can sing, dance or rap. You have to be really good at it. Even SB19 with their current skills set and talent still gets bashed.
Come to philippines guys and enjoy the filipino culture and how singing is like an ordinary language.you aren’t filipino if theres no karaoke in every occasions
You'd mostly hear this type of singing (belting) during karaoke and singing contests. But the most popular songs are actually more chill and sentimental but are very engaging in live (mostly from singer songwriters, bands, and hiphop artists).
That’s why filipinos have high standards in terms of singing.. not just hitting the high notes. An extraordinary technique is a must since most filipinos are soooo good
Yes the people around were not surprised...they are used to see and hear anybody sing at mall, restaurant or anywhere, becos singing is one favourite hobbies of most Filipinos...
If i remember correctly, someone from sb19 likes to listen to zico. im just not sure if its josh or pablo. It would be nice if you could meet sb19 personally. They're very down to earth and super kind. Let's manifest that.

Hi! I just came across your channel. I'm Filipino so hearing the Pinoys in this video singing like the rent is due isn't suprising to me. Actually, after I had my baby and was experiencing post-partum depression, my sister bought me a karaoke mic to cheer me up. HAHA. Everyone in my family can sing.
the first 3 guys are professional singers, they competed with each other in a singing competition, but now they have different careers. The guy with eyeglasses is now a member of Ppop group. The one with a cap is now an influencer and the guy with curly hair is doing tv guests and I believe theater musical acts.
That probably may be true. It's in our DNA. We are better at expressing our emotions thru songs. Maybe not all but most. I for one grew up in a family where everyone gets to sing a child to sleep and during parties or reunions, there will always be sort of a talent portion and even a best dressed if there's a theme. Some are even shy but when they sing, it's going to be a jaw dropping performance. When you visit our country, you will see people singing while doing their daily tasks. That's just how we are. 😊
Part of the culture you’ll find live bands ,kareoke bar , home Kareoke any occasion there’s kareoke session , and theyre would be local singing competition then every noon time show singing competition is big in general music is big part of our culture . And we encourage our friends to sing u can sing or not just sing .. hahahaha no matter what tone u got hahaha
Why are they not surprised? It’s because it’s normal here in the Philippines. Have you watched a Philippine Singing contest like The Voice or Philippine GoT Talent, or Philippine Idol? The eliminated ones can be the Champion and Winners in other countries. That’s why other Filipino singers choose to join the contest abroad because of the high likelihood that they will win. And besides, when you sing here…good or bad, you will always be supported and applauded! ❤️💙💛
Been seeing lots of clips like this but I just realized that it is not widely known that here in the Philippines, music is a part of our culture. Even if one doesn't have the voice, they would surely have a thing for instruments or even in art itself. I just took that fact for granted until I sang in front of my foreign coworkers in a karaoke pub and just can't wrap my head at their awe and fascination... I don't even sing that good.
So happy and nice to seeing you guys react .. ❤ welcome to the Philippines soon ❤ manifesting for SB19 meet and greet ❤❤❤ more power to your channel ❤❤❤
Singing here in Philippines is ordinary, when you go to school and teachers sometimes was lazy to teach students suggest to sing students to sing one by one, when the baby was crying mother or father sings for their child to stop crying ,if the baby couldn't sleep parents sing for them to sleep, when the people gather wherever places was that they would sing , it's common here even if people will go upstairs or downstairs they would sing .
Filipinos have high regards with there singer, and that is why we don't lip-synch - you know the thing is, it is okay with us if our artist crack thier voice or loose thier voice during LIVE performance than to lip-synch its a BIG no no to us
here in the philippines we cancel singers who sang in lipsync, we have a very high standards because of morissette, jona viray and regine velasquez. HAHAHAHAHA

Your reactions amuse me. Yeah, you aren’t the only reactors who said that we must have different genes or that we swim in different water. It’s actually a normal/casual thing for us to sing in any occasions or even without. Filipino past times especially on weekends is Karaoke singing. Every household always have a mic and sings a lot of karaoke songs in UA-cam channels, a Magic Sing mikeb or a like a jukebox karaoke wherein you put a coin in it and sing your heart out.
Guys the video is too short. There are lots of regular filipinos that sings randomly in public or private gatherings that are so good. Hope you can do part2. 😊 Thank you Purple Twins! 🫡🇵🇭🔥
You got it right. Since we are young we hear American & Filipino singers and we try to imitate them. I too can sing but I chose not to perform or join contest. Most people who can sing are ordinary people😊
People do not get popular because of high notes or belting. A lot of OPM artists get popular because of their relatable songs and engaging live performances / good rapport with the audience.
Its true. Many filipinos have karaoke culture when they want to enjoy and unwind with friends. Most of them have good singing voices despite of being non celebrity status. That's why when a filipino fan commented positively to a certain vocalist, its true that the specific vocalist is a good singer because it means that the vocalist meets the good vocal standards for them to praised it. For the vocal standards as singer in the Philippines, they are exceptionally good. Just check Bakit ngaba Mahal Kita by Roselle Nava. That song's highnote and consistent harmony in the chorus part is difficult to maintain. Only few could nail its correct maintained harmony in singing challenges
The man who was wearing a brown shirt and braided hair is mr.saigon Garrett Bolden and the other one who was wearing cap is Jong Madaliday was also the class contestant and he was a finalist..
we filipino we sing 🎤 everywhere 🤣🤣 in the… bathroom, kitchen, etc. lols coz its fun, no need to be a professional singer 🤣🤣 thanks for sharing from Sydney australia 🇦🇺 🇵🇭
It is in the language. Polynesians too. Austronesian languages have a lot of vowels, H-, S-, Y-, M-, N- sounds. Consequently, the languages have that humming and breathy quality good for singing.
They come out the womb singing.lol. If I ever to a karaoke bar I will ask if there’s a Filipino singer to save myself the embarrassment. But it seems like a cultural thing to not be shocked because they’re all beautiful singers.
You should check out the salesman in the mall and a lady who didn't know each other but sang The prayer. Only in the Philippines. None of them are singers as a profession just two strangers who harmonized. There's actually a stereotype that all Filipino's can sing or probably 90% of the population can carry a tune.
Normal days in the Philippines. People love to sing anywhere at anytime. Singing competition here is just ordinary in any places and many groups of band is also common esp on festivities or occasions.
To those who always credits karaoke machine for Filipinos being good singers, let me remind you that karaoke machines just came in much later, even before karaokes, Filipinos were already inclined to singing, they do "harana" as a part of courtship, even singing while planting, washing clothes in the river and on various holidays there will always be a singing contest everywhere. So this singing habit goes a long, long way back before the karaoke era

Just goes to say that when it comes to singing, Filipinos aren’t easy to please. You must be different like Morisette and Gigi de Lana
For filipinos its pure talent
Mostly Filipino are singer bro and don't be shock because we all had different talent on how we act.

Most people who can sing are ordinary people😊
Thank you, purple twins. As always, you are fun to watch doing RVs about Filipinos..
More power to your channel.
Yes it's true every Filipinos know how sing..😊 likes it's normal for us to sing 😅 even if weren't good in singing..
Man we Filipinos were just keep on doing that every single day and you're still in shock!..
People do not get popular because of high notes or belting. A lot of OPM artists get popular because of their relatable songs and engaging live performances / good rapport with the audience.
AT LAAASSSTTT!!!! You entered a new path of Filipinos Ordinary Karaoke Days 😅😅😅😅😅
Sb19 ' I want you' live Pagtatag full Performance ❤
Oh I wish you would meet our SB19 boys! ❤
The Philippines got a lot of wedding singers, lounge singers & bands singers (mostly in beach pubs, resto bars) too.
Ooh.. That plan sounds good. just thinking about it makes me so giddy🤭 i do hope to see you guys with Sb19💜💜💜
필리핀에 간다고요? 우와! 😍
신난다아아아~ 🤩🥳
80 percent Filipinos are good singers even those aged people
in every household in the Philippines there is that ONE person who can really sing
i guess this is the reason when a lot filos stan a kpop group it means they are vocally good.
I love the idea of visitng SB19. They are such a nice people💙
😅 the kid will never get to sleep with that mom singing loudly right next to her ears 😅
I think this filipinos just choose careers over talents 😭💜
Can I tag along when you have a meal with my lovely SB19????
You guys are my favorite reactors!❤
To those who always credits karaoke machine for Filipinos being good singers, let me remind you that karaoke machines just came in much later, even before karaokes, Filipinos were already inclined to singing, they do "harana" as a part of courtship, even singing while planting, washing clothes in the river and on various holidays there will always be a singing contest everywhere. So this singing habit goes a long, long way back before the karaoke era
Bro just conduct a party andy kind of party with a karaoke and invite Filipino's trust me you'll get some singers lol😂
Thanks proud to be a Filipino
