He doesn't need autotune...or nasty lyrics...or booty dancers....he's just gorgeous, with a gorgeous talent,.....what a gift. I have loved him since I was 12 years old...
A HORN SECTION that can sing in harmony? Holy cow. THAT'S why old heads like me feel so sorry for the current generation. It's not just the lead performers that they're missing out on; they're also missing out on the superb backing musicians and background singers that accompanied yesteryear's lead performers. I mean sheesh, I don't even see a horn section accompanying today's performers - and here Al Green had a horn section THAT COULD SING. Unbelievable. Al Green, Teddy Pendergrass and Marvin Gaye all in one decade. My goodness...
That voice could not, or will ever, be touched. There is only one Rev. Al Green; thank you for all the great memories of the 70's! A TRUE MUSIC ICON FOR ALL TIME....
I saw Al Green in Concert a few months ago. Front row seats. He handed the women long stem roses. I got one from him too. This man is amazing. I have been sharing this music with my son and grandson. I Took my son who is 30 and his Girlfriend with me. My son turned to me and said Mom I have been to ALOT of concerts but this is the best concert I've ever been to. No Lie. He has so much energy and doesn't miss a note. Music that touches you. Don't get much of that these days.
WOW........Al Green is the best! a brillant performer with an unusual talent and style. What passion, energy, and immense sex appeal.he can bring the house down like no one can. This is what I call music. Wish we could hear music like this today. Timeless , brilliant and truly exciting. A true gift from the Almighty. Al.......'I'm so oh in love with you'....just keep singing ! I never tire of hearing the great Rev Al Green!
WOW ......Al Green is theeee best ! That voice rocks my world ! A gretnperformer with ab unusul talent and style. I have loved him fir mire than firty years and live him even more now. What passion, taent , energy and sex appeal. He can bring the house down lime no one can. This is what I call music. Al.....I'm so oh in love with you. Wish we could hear music like this today. It is timeless and not only brilliant but truly exciting. I ever tire of hearing the great Rev al Green.
i remember only havin just regular tv stationz and waiting for Midnight Special to come on with the "howlin" wolfman jack to c who would be performing.. this is great! thanx for it..
always loved this song and this man had some serious pipes. Can you do this Bieber? Timberlake? 1 Direction? Course you can't. Coz this man has talent.
Nick Godfrey They have talent too. He has SOUL, that's what the young singers today have sacrificed for pop hits. (Ironic right, gave up their soul? SMH)
Finally the legendary Rev. Al Green toured Australia and I saw him perform last night in Brisbane. Totally awesome ... I loved the show. Rev. Al Green Al... you continue to definately share the LOVE - the ladies went totally WILD!!
I went to see King Al in concert during this time period. The girls in the audience went insane when he came off the stage and went through the audience. I felt bad for the guys who brought their women there that night. From the women's standpoint, Al was the only male there that night.
In these songs, that are magnificently beautiful, they're singing about wanting to love and share life with the person they have found peaceand honesty with. And the songs today all they wanna do is screw the women and throw them in the garbage.
@xJumpiezTheElephantx I am too jealous that you were there and I wasn't! Are you sure all those girls were black? I've seen some white girls doing some serious screaming at more than a few of his shows! LOL
nuni121 1st of all you dont even know me and i dont know you, so we shouldnt even judge each other. 2nd of all, You Tube is a hobby of mine and i will use it however i please because i can, simple as that. 3rd of all, there is so much negativity in this world and you choose to down grade me even though i am giving someone props for being a legend, 4th of al im in college trying my best to get my degree and making my dreams become reality and 5th of all, NIGGA HAD SWAG.
+nuni121 if I was truly a thug I would have said nothing and you sound ignorant man. Please leave me alone I'm trying to take a private exam on my phone.
Al Green, can bring the house down. As I look at more and more old school videos, I see black people sweating their azz's off. Could it be there were no fans or cooling sources? Maybe that's how they kept the weight down or worst, was force to. He looked like he could not see, so he kept his eye's close most of the performance. Is it just me?
He doesn't need autotune...or nasty lyrics...or booty dancers....he's just gorgeous, with a gorgeous talent,.....what a gift. I have loved him since I was 12 years old...

The way you write in here makes me wonder what kind of education you where taught growing up
hes coked the F out seriously!
can never compare with today's music. Rap is horrible
What?! Kanye says he's an Artist... as often as he can.

@SkidRowJosephine He should have just taken it off!!! Do you the censors would have had a fit if he had???
WHAT???
Whys he sweating so bad
Chris Huffman This was when the performers were actually performing the songs. This show was live and he sang several songs. This was real music.
Omg, does cocaine make you sweat bad
+nuni121 It is an Oxycontin tablet. Hope he's not taking that crap.
It's the stage lights. They're incredibly hot and can burn your hand if you touch it.
lmao i remember he got his arm broke once cause the women mobbed him.
Alittle drawn out, A for effort!
Muffin top....seriously...
