Agree he might not have as many take-ons this season, but teams are doubling/tripling up on him every week. Also, scoring more goals as a winger means he's very good, I think

Odegaard, Rice, Gabriel, Salima, and White have been Arsenal's best and most consistent performers this season. Odegaard in particular, besides that first month, has been incredible this season. He's so underrated, he's easily a top 3 midfielder in the PL.

He was poor in the first month, but he picked up his form after that. Since then he's arguably been the best midfielder in the league.

As an Arsenal fan Saka has not been our best player this season. Rice has been be far our most consistent, saka has been very good but his best performances have come in the last few weeks, making it feel like he's been better than he actually has.
So who was winning us games first half of the season when our attackers were failing to score goals? Who was creating chances for us when Ødegaard was underperforming?

Theo arguing against salah being above Saka after calling him the best player in the league by saying salah has been in Africa for 3 weeks then injured. Salah was gone for that long through afcon and injury and he’s still got more goal contributions than Saka (which is the reason you have Saka in the list). Ik Tom isn't the biggest fan of liverpool but he makes alot of sense , Saka and foden are having their best seasons right now and deserve to be included in the debate but Salah has been better this season and on top of scoring a load of goals, he's evolved into more of a creator role bagging more assists this season and recency bias is the only reason theo thinks saka is having a better season because hes looking at the last 5 games instead of the whole season as a whole so far.

I do agree that the arsenal attack hasn’t looked as fluid this season. Obviously now they’ve fit form but at points it looks like they struggled to really hurt teams. Saka is having a good season but i think it’s damaging him in a way as the rest of the forwards arent as prolific as last year and its falling basically all on Saka to do something and if he doesn’t then people are going well he was so much better last year. Which in a sense i agree because when the whole team is performing at the peak the star players have the room to show that little bit of extra that they have. Whereas this season because saka is by far arsenal’s leading contributor its making it more difficult for him because if hes marked out the game the other players haven’t sometimes been able to replicate that

Saka over Salah is simply recency bias due to Saka finally finding some form and Salah being injured. Most of Saka's contributions have been since Arsenals rise in form whereas Salah has been consistent all season.
