In August, while visiting San Donato, I met a man whose family was originally from Picinisco and who vacations there each summer. He invited me to the Picinisco and I spent a morning in this charming town with it welcoming people and a great view of the Comino valley.
I really liked these pics ,made a tear come to my eye . Its been a long time since i was there 1986,87 .married a girl from Picinisco and fell in love with the place and people .
A comment I made earlier seems to have disappeared. My grandfather, Ernesto Capocci, and his wife, Virginia Vacca, were from Picinisco. They emigrated to the UK in the eatly 20th century. My late father was obe of their 11 children. Unfortunately, he never visited the village, but I did - a moving experience.
