Most people are making the switch to Mirrorless, but DSLRs are still decent and can save you some coin over a Mirrorless. Just hard to recommend one while manufacturers are switching away from them.
In 2024 i wouldnt even recoomened buying dslr over 1000€... you can get mirrorless camera that has amazing AF. With canons adapter you can still buy older DSRL glass without any problems
Yeah i agree, i mentioned them just because it's a video dedicated to DSLRs, and the choices are limited.
Respectfully, I think DSLR cameras are seriously outdated. Mirrorless is really the way to go. Why would you use outdated technology when you can easily obtain a modern system???
Because they can be found for a good price and can still do the job of taking great photos.
@@ryanfield6707brand new mirrorless APS-C camera way to go. Better technology, cheaper, lightweight.
Used old full frame Mirrorless camera still decent today at great price too.
I don't think old DLSR cameras will have new lens technology and will find it hard to find one new. Old DSLR slow auto focus and noisy.
@@ryanfield6707 Not really how much is the D850 and Canon X1D Mk3? For the price of D850 people can get a Nikon Z7ii, Sony a7R4. For the price of Canon X1D Mk3, there is the choice of Sony A1, Nikon Z9, Nikon Z8 ( which is about 60% of the price with the price difference you can buy a few lenses) and Canon R5.
@@jliang70 The 1DX mkIII is a bad example. If we’re talking more reasonable examples, the 5D mkIII runs about $500 which leaves plenty of budget for some excellent ef L glass. The D850 runs about $800-900 which is APS-C mirrorless territory. You’re looking at least close $700 for a full frame mirrorless body only depending on age. Plus the lenses which are very expensive for modern mounts, compared to the vast array of quality stuff on older Canon and Nikon formats.
Out the door, you can get into a full frame DSLR with a nice complement of lenses easily under $1000. And it’ll be all you need as a beginner or intermediate to take good photos.
For a mirrorless you’re looking at minimum $1500 a body and one maaaaybe two ok lenses. And that’s if you choose a body that’s older and has only marginal performance improvements compared to a DSLR.
Mirrorless is definitely more advanced tech wise, but you’ll be paying for it. It’s fantastic for working professionals with money to burn on that kind of thing, but for a beginner or intermediate on a budget I have no problem recommending a DSLR in 2024.
