- Let's do the Falcon BMS 4.35 Training Mission 11, Laser Guided Bombs.
We're striking Pupo-ri Naval Base using GBU-12 Paveway II Laser Guided Bombs. Our targets are the two large cranes, we'll do a Medium Altitude Level Delivery first, and then descend for a Low Level Lofting Delivery.
These cranes are surprisingly hard to hit.
00:00 PART 1: Settings in 2D screen
00:29 Loadout Screen: Laser Codes
03:09 Recon Screen, Overview of the Target Area
04:07 Setting Precision Steerpoints
06:40 Checking the DTC (I forgot to click "Save")
=====
07:26 PART 2: In the Pit
07:41 Setting up the TGP for Laser Operation
08:57 Fence In
08:10 Clouds prohibit Laser Tracking, let's descend below them
09:26 Selecting our Precision Steerpoint
09:46 HUD and TPG symbology
10:09 TGP needs to track in Point Mode (TMS-Up) or Area Mode (TMS-Right) to lase
10:38 First Run: Medium Altitude Level Delivery
12:24 Setting up for the Lofting Attack
14:52 Second Run: Low Level Lofting Attack - Off Dry :/
15:47 Lofting is easier with a Lower Release Angle
17:43 Third Run: Low Level Lofting Attack - Drifting out of TGP Line Of Sight while Lasing :/
20:16 TMS-Down and Cursor-Zero to reset to our programmed Steerpoint
20:56 Fourth Run: Low Level Lofting Attack - Looks good!
22:16 That crane is still standing...
22:56 Fifth Run: Medium Altitude Lofting Attack - Running into Clouds while Lasing :/
24:25 And that crane is still up - I'll have to come back again another day

Great that you posted this training missions! It's a very valuable help for beginners like me in addition to the training manual - pictures and videos explain more than thousand words - thank you! 👍
Thank you so much for this tutorials. Very well explained.
Thanks! Glad you like it.
Awesome!
I always thought that training mission had something against me personally, but now I know it does that to others as well.
Great work on your tutorials! Thanks!
Thanks!
just started getting back into BMS.
Is there a config to set the MFD's to the white and blue format like you have it?
Not really a fan of the yellow and purple of the MFD's in the main game.
i think its based on the Block version of the F-16, not sure though
@@airshark2764 Ah okay, thought it was something you could change in the game settings on the launcher.
@@shibiwowsawesomegaming4783 actually never mind, if you have the alternative launcher you can go to avionics configurator, select the plane, then go all the way down till you find color configuration.
@@airshark2764 can you give a link to the alternate launcher?
Or is it the launcher the game installs?
Is it possible to get your AI wingman to laser a target for you? If so that’s pretty cool.
No, you need a human buddy for this. But maybe some day it will work with the AI as well. 🤞
laser guided bombs are mostly designed to be dropped from very high altitude like 40.000 to 60.000ft were the CCRP becomes very unaccurate, i think that tutorial mission is bad example for it :)
40 to 60k - that's a bit high, don't you think? 😅
@@steviesgames lol maybe its exaggeration for an f-16, but at least 30k. i think FA-18 and F-117 are more suitable for this kind of weaponry. ccrp alone in that mission can guarantee a total accuracy because of the clear weather.
