We’ve all been there: it’s the 1970s, we just went to a late night showing of ‘The Holy Mountain’, and we get in a few hours before we start our shift at the laundromat. Thank goodness we’ve been taking those very expensive reiki classes so we can relax before getting a bit of sleep! Let’s hope we don’t accidentally take drugs or something.
I’m kidding, of course, but if you ever wondered what that might be like, then this is the 1970s reiki session and LSD taking roleplay for you! Enjoy!
PS: Don’t worry, none of the drugs in the video are real (as you can probably tell). Apart from the tobacco, I guess? Don’t smoke!

🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses - even just for a bit.
📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds - just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos - but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.

Most amount of Acid i’ve ever done was 3 350 paper tabs on NYE 2 years ago^ perhaps one of the most scariest, craziest and confusing few hours of my life. 10/10 would do again

The sound of a joint being smoked has a viscerally relaxing effect on my entire body lol. Great role-playing, ty. And I agree; as great as The Holy Mountain is, El Topo is superior.

Jim that is the biggest acid tab I have ever seen that’s badass lol, I also love how you said it was acidic, implying that it’s laced with other shit. Your hippy character is so accurate and I live in the hippy capital of the world, good job man!

I'll just share a story, because why not. I don't do drugs but just once I had a bad trip at school once during an art class. I couldn't even hold the pencil properly and draw a straight line, my vision was distorted, the colours were off, the world looked like stained glass. I never felt so thirsty in my life, I probably drank 2L of water, somehow. And my heart was hammering with a scary arrythmia. Anyway, my friends made some excuse for me to the teacher and I left the class. I had to call my uncle to come get me... an uncle I hadn't spoken to for almost 7 years because we fell out. He couldn't take me to the hospital so we just drove around. He was so angry, I was chewed out all the way while he was driving but his voice sounded distant and chimmy, like it was coming from the far end of a metal tube. Needless to say I don't recommend drugs. But hey looking at the positive, at least my uncle and I talk again, all because of that horrible day XD

I'm glad I have the internet to quickly look up what a baby rabbit is called while I'm enjoying "reiki powder" and the like with my friends.
A video like the cowboy segment would be amazing; that bit was very soothing because of the white noise base layer plus the audio distortion on the speech. The fingernail gloves were a nice touch, too.

I wish dropping acid was as relaxing as this! Love the details and little table of treats. Especially love the colour palate. Takes me straight back to 4am candy flipping, racing the dawn and topping up on booze to fight off hangovers. Delicious

Perfect re creation of my remembrance of a seventies darkened sunken loungeroom scape of blacks, browns, burnt orange and thick chunky drink glasses and glass ashtrays full of whatever kind of smoked buts. Only thing missing is a shelf with slim volumes re the karma sutra stuffed in between the other books. Though my favourite read then was anything Tolkien and science fantasy. 1970 was my first high school year so I was surrounded by everything 70's from early teens onwards, but of course was too young to be into drinking, smoking or drugs at that time and by the time I was older I'd seen too many wrecked by it (or at the least had embarrassed themselves with it) to be roped into it I was such a rural innocent running around with my daggy friends in big city Melbourne during the 70's. I had no idea of how crazy and historically momentous those times were until much older.
Also, during that time, I heard of someone who had said he was in a yoga trance and had found himself in the presence of some kind of female, catlike person. She looked startled at his presence and said " How did you get here? You're not one of mine." and he was suddenly thrown out of his trance state. Didn't mention drugs but they were probably involved if this was true I suppose.

Although around two in the afternoon has always been my low biorhythm time.
this particular video isn't my exact cup of tea (despite it being absolutely wonderfully produced, please trust me when i say even if it isn't exactly my jam the work and effort is appreciated) BUT as a Jew, seeing the magen david necklace was definitely something that warmed up my heart a bit. i like feeling that bit of solidarity.

Another beautiful masterpiece of an asmr by who else but Jim! The immersion, the hallucination effects, the effort, the character, everything about this video was perfect. Just when I thought I had a favorite one by Jim, here I find another one and now I can't decide which to pick. Keep it up!

Hmmm; thinking either the powder or the homeroll was laced with a bit o' that same Eye of Horus we got; old Errol's acting a little out-there in the second half of this, though I'm sure it was an accident and he did mean to stick to his rule. He keeps us admirably grounded despite that though; always extra reassuring to have a calming presence that feels at home in the storm.
I know a guy (ain't drugs like this except maybe acid back in the high school days) but this guy is alot like this for me anytime I ever tried to smoke weed after another dude I knew really messed it up for me. I can't smoke but I don't mind if people do around me. But people like this are so soothing. (Not saying do hard drugs never do hard drugs) but if it's something new to you like weed or alcohol someone like this will 100% help you not panic nearly as bad as before
So I’m no longer questioning why being drugged and unsettled by you has become my favourite trigger of yours. How could it not? ❤
This video helped me realize some things about me and also took my mind off of some stress too. 100/10 experience video and I’m not even half way through.

I did a bunch of acid in the past and let me tell ya, after 23:00 when the echo kicks in it's literally so realistic. Its just missing the patterns on stuff. As for the literal hallucinations... idk man, never did enough to have that kind of breakthrough. But the previous minutes, yeah, that's pretty much how it feels like with the echo and tracers.
those are a lot of drugs to do in only half an hour! Loved it! how do you get such high quality videos in such a short time?! To say I'm impressed it's THE understatement of the year!

I enjoyed climbing the holy mountain with Errol. Although in some ways he’d be at home on Lotus Island? 😊 It felt good that at least he approved of trip sitting, if not remaining sober himself. I have to say that the best conversations I’ve ever had involved lounging and drinking with the train of thought wending around unpredictably. Kit’s got my tongue for this convo, though.
Not only were the editing and effects on point, that was a great homage to Jodorowsky!
And it ticked so many boxes: mystic dude/s, personal attention, energy pulling, chaos, reassurances, friend-shaped party guy, breathing, counting, follow the thing, so much props, costuming, and makeup! Oh yeah, and the whispering really satisfied tonight.
Oh and every time the hat made an appearance on Errol’s head I was really amused.
There was more but I am very sleepy and this is way too long 😞

This was so artistically magnificent! The editing was superb and the writing hilarious. It's like Hunter S. Thompson and Matthew McConaughey combined lol. Jodorowsky is amazing. He wrote 1 if the most influential graphic novels, The Incal. Fifth Element is one thing inspired by it. Have you thought if doing an ASMR of that. I know others would say Zorg, but I think uncould do any number of the characters. Sorry tangent any way this was brilliant, thanks you.

That’s like the one flaw to him I’ve found, I love his stuff, and it makes sense for those characters to smoke, but it still makes me kind of uncomfortable, spoilers, they smell terrible, and fuck up your lungs, stick to edibles if you want to get high
@@The_Murder_Party I have good memories attached to the smell of tobacco smoke, and the gestures involved are very enticing and interesting to watch, so there’s no flaw there from my point of view.
It just looks cool, in fact, over time, smoking causes more and more harm. I would like to know: how long has Jim been smoking and would he like to quit?!
@@chaikadikaya2299 I totally agree, and I’m glad I never became a smoker. I worry about the impact on Jim’s health, and hope he can quit soon, and he’s such a good actor, he can pretend to be smoking, for the characters he portrays, when he eventually kicks the habit.

This feels like a scene from a Cop movie from the 80s or 90s meeting the one drug dealer to get info from and him given a good monologue and a backstory alongside the info needed do his hatred towards the main baddie of the flick and him eventually helping out the hero at the end having a change of hearth despite his faulty pass
This strangely got me thinking I would love to see you do an Inherent Vice themed ASMR. Specifically as Doc (Sincerely a Pynchon lover)
The least immersive part of this was that it only took minutes for the LSD to kick in 😂😂

@@jkhartley man it takes about an hour with a normal dose, lsd is so potent even just a normal drop can make you get so fucking high it’s scary. I usually take a gel tab 1/4 the size of my pinky nail, compare that to what he gave and yeah that will come on very quickly, like within 10 minutes.

The double effect kind of reminds me of my first ever Migraine, I experienced what they called Akenoposia (motion blindness) I looked at my hand and I couldn't see it moving and then 5 seconds later I saw it, it was like when you are on a video call and it lags. It was petrifying. Later I went paralysed down one side. I had had 13 J2Os in one sitting which is probably what caused it but the second and third (both of which put me in hospital) was caused by my being Anaemic. Anyway, great video! I am really amazed anyone actually survived the 70s!
