I would be interested on the details of the antennas. They sound similar. I assume the inverted L is maybe 1/4 or 3/8 waves long with radials. The EFHW must be 520 feel long. It also needs a good ground. So maybe the radials are the same? Also how faer apart are the antennas? My 160 meter inverted L is close to 3/8 waves long and tuned with a vacuum variable in a box at the base. I have just a few radials. At my last location I had a bent half square on 160. The vertical portions were 60 feet and the bottom of each vertical was bent parallel to the ground another 60 feet. The top wire was about 260 feet. I also had an inverted L. When I put up the half square I noticed the inverted L started performing much better into Europe. When I modeled the two antennas together it turned out the bent half square was acting as a reflector for the inverted L! 73 de N4DJ
