I still get goosebumps over the intro. This along with Miami vs defending National Champion Oklahoma in 1986...#1 vs #2 in the Orange Bowl, with Phil Collins In The Air Tonight playing in the background, are my 2 favorite intros into any game, all-time.
Man even though my huskies lost the national championship and I’m still not over it to an extent but my god this intro was amazing and really wonderful and as football fan it did make me tear up a little bit and I feel very emotional watching this as well cause it makes you really love the sport of college football and I think this was definitely the greatest national championship of the 21st century. Especially when you mix and all of the Houston and space elements and stuff and the music as well. I just really loved this intro a lot.
This has the vibes of Cubs-Indians, two teams with with very long championship droughts. Very similar paths. Michigan and Washington had very bad years in 2020 and 2021 respectively. As much as I respect Washington, I am glad Michigan won this game, as I bleed maize and blue. I welcome Washington to the B1G. May this be a fruitful rivalry for many years to come. Go Blue! 〽️💛💙🏆
