New subscriber here! Besides your good information and warm personalities, I really love the way you guys talk. Its just a perfect speed and pronunciation conversation for a class room of English learners that I may be using with subtitles. Many thanks for sharing. Peace from 🇸🇦
This is a fab video idea and so helpful!! I love google maps, so useful! And I only recently found out about the camera in google translate...so handy! Theres some apps you mentioned here that i've never heard of but sound great..gonna check them out now! Thanks so much for this video! 😊💙
Google Map and Google Translate is everything! They are both so helpful so you don't get lost and can communicate. The only other thing would be to get Google Fi which is what we have so we can have data while we travel. WhatsApp, Grab, and TripAdvisor are our other favorites as one helps you communicate, one helps get you around and one helps you research so you get all the information on tours and hotels and so much more! Great list of tips for sure.
Ah guys, this was so informative. We love google maps with planning our trips and using the save function, so awesome to hear you guys also use this. As a newly travel couple / travel UA-cam channel, it's so awesome to learn more about these types of apps. Haha I laughed when you said Google translate saved your life, definitely couldn't be more happier for technology like Google translate.
Us too! Technology really does make travel so much easier. I don’t think we would be brave enough to explore the world without these tools in our pocket.
So informative, as always, the google-fi that’s is some service we will need to look into if we are traveling abroad again, and the insurance is a must, thank you 🙏
Google-fi makes traveling abroad super easy. You’ll love always having data! And insurance is essential these days! Thanks for watching and happy travel planning until next time!
We haven't traveled internationally yet other than through cruise lines and driving to Canada, but someday we will!! A currency converter is a MUST when overseas. Thanks for all of the tips! We took notes!!
Looove Google maps as well, especially the accuracy of the public transport 😊 Google translate has also saved us in some sticky situations 😅 glad it saved you from 2 week quarantine! Ling App looks so interesting. We haven’t used Klook, will definitely check it out next time we travel! And Expedia as well. Lol 😂 I’m also not a backpacker and I don’t like hostels...Craig will probably not mind it, but it’s not for me 😅 Everyone in South Africa communicates on WhatsApp 😊 We use Skyscanner in the same way as you, Kendra. Craig also downloads movies etc on Netflix before a flight, I just sleep haha Awesome tips on all these apps guys 😊
I'm so jealous that you can sleep on flights! No matter what I do or how long the flight is, I just can't sleep. I get to catch up on movies instead, but I really would rather sleep!
So many apps to choose from and indeed, even I use some but not to its potential. Mainly because one tends to load the app at the time of need. I'll look into mine a bit more closely to see what I am missing. Good tips all round. 🙏 👍 🙋♀️
Indeed, apps are easy to forget but once downloaded and organized it becomes easier to use them to their full potential really making your travels run smoother!
Definitely google translate is a plus....sadly nearly every single person I try to tell to use it...especially the camera view....they just don’t use it....I want to scream sometimes because they stress over something simple as reading a Thai menu when they could just use the dang phone!
LOL! People are forgetful for sure! I will admit it. It took me a while to remember to use the app. Once you use it a couple of times though there's no going back! You'll never forget how useful it is!
What's your favorite travel app? Share it in the comments below!
Definitely TrainPal. Fully refundable and train cards on sale!! fav so far

Thank you for such a great breakdown of the apps, super helpful! Do you have to have a sim card in order to use grab while in Thailand?
Yes we go a local SIM to use mobile data. They are inexpensive, about $10 per month.
Excellent vlog and nice tips, thanks for sharing.
