Is the 4-post bolted to concrete. Mine is not… concerned winching might drag lift toward car instead of pulling car in and up … 68 Camaro. Thoughts
This 4-post was not bolted to the ground. It shouldn't move your 4-post if you run the winch slowly. It's best to have a spotter. Possibly the Backyard Buddy Classic you might need to be concerned about it moving a little because it's pretty small, but the Advantage Lifts are much heavier. Not sure which lift you have, but you should be fine without bolting.
can this be used to lift vertically (eg, lift something out of a pickup bed) as well as lifting horizontally (as shown in the video)? If so, what's the safe working limit for the cross-member? One-half the total lift's capacity?
Hey there! So the Winch plate can only be mounted one way and is really only used to pull cars up onto the lift. You could maybe pull some lightweight things vertically, but we wouldn't recommend it.
Pretty sure that jeep not having a winch is the bigger crime
