The instructions for my lift doesn’t go into any kind of detail what so ever. Like the overhead bar, the overhead safety switch, etc. no details at all. It just says mount it to the bar. Well how do you wire it? How do you even mount the bar?? He says in the video it shows detailed instructions.

I've had my Advantage SS-11000-WD in my home shop for over 6 months now and absolutely love it! I am a retired auto technician, and have used every type of lift known to exist over the years, and I can say with total confidence that this is a very well made piece of equipment. I looked at everything on the market before deciding on this make & model, and IMHO you cannot buy a better lift...

My ceiling is 10'2" and want a 11K 4-post for the 240v/20 amp option. Any issues with it other than my low ceiling?

I'm putting up this lift now and the instructions are still metric. Also at 45 minutes he tells you to wire the overhead switch to the outside posts in the switch, then at 1hour 55 minutes he tells you to wire them to the two center posts. Your 4 post video was great, I knocked it out so easily... the AL-SC10 video isn't bad but so many details missed or edited out, the AL-SF10 video downright sucks.... no talking to let you know what's going on and why, just crappy music for 20 minutes

I purchased the Advantage 11000WD last year and couldn't be happier. It can lift and service every vehicle I own, from a Polaris Ranger UTV, all the way up to a big Ram 3500 Crewcab long bed dually diesel pickup! I love it!!

Your website says the 12k models are 2 stage arms, this lift has 3 stage arms. Is this a 10k lift, or does the 12k come with 3 stage arms now?

Just had one delivered by advantage lift and assembled ,I’m just so happy in this day & of scams to be able testify ,that I’m impressed in all aspects way beyond my expectations ! So glad l carefully watched videos on comparisons and overall quality of overall design ,materials craftsmanship and precise metalworking strength . This lift is bedrock solid (no wobbles) and l feel completely safe under it with my 1957 belair 2door hardtop my first car purchased in march of 1968 pushing high up near the 12’ barn ceiling !

I am going to build a house and plan on adding a few lifts. How tall should I make the ceilings, and how thick should my concrete floor be? I plan on having the lifts right next to each other. Thanks.

At 4:43 Wayne says "Those pulleys, are they ball bearing? Stacey: "Yes, yes, especially in this application. Some of our lifts have bushings" But Advantage has a video explaining that they use bushings because they think bushings are more durable in this type of use (low speed, high pressure) than ball bearings, and they say not to believe other manufacturers that say ball bearings are better!

the video was very helpful, but had mistakes a that caused backtracking and was frustrating. The manual provided is inadequate and misrepresentative of the materials included in the lift. A more accurate video, a packing list and a better manual is needed. To be clear, the packing list is essential, because I was unaware of missing parts until the time I had set aside for install.

as my 15 years sales working experiences, if your garage is big enough, 4 post lift is definitely a better choice.

How do you tighten the double nut on the cable that goes down into the carriage? Can’t get a wrench in there.

Do you shim the second column also? Didn’t see anything in the video. One looks to need 1/16 shim on 2 bolts in second column.

What are the differences between this and the similar-looking Advantage Lifts RJA?

Got my lift and this jack about 2 weeks ago. Both are fantastic. I use Milton high flow V style connections for all my air tools and that makes a nice difference. This raised my hellcat durango in a snap.

Couldn’t get an over head safety switch and add it to my rafter ? I have a base plate style because my rafter height it only 11 4”.

I just installed one myself with help from a little tractor to lift the posts up. It wasn't all that difficult if you think through each step. It appears to be a quality product. I had a few small screws missing which Advantage is sending me. Mostly praise for the product, but I will say the directions are horrible. Yes, most folks with a mechanical eye can figure out which screws go where, how to route electrical cable for shut off, and particular routing of hydraulic line. But if someone from Advantage would spend a day creating a quality document it would save you from having every comment on this product be the same: "Great product, bad manual". Would I buy again, absolutely.

I don't throw much away, thus I saved the packing bolts and shipping plates. NOW 5 1/2 years after I bought and installed my SX 9000 XLT, I traded up to a larger pole barn (450 mies away) SO.. still having the bolts and shipping plates I mounted the runways to them on disassembly. This made putting them on & off my trailer easier.. I will admit the whole lift from Advantage fit neatly the package, not so much for me (it was all spread out on m trailer.)
