Oh so you did get a laser cutter?, I thought the patches lately had a cleaner edge to them.. Poor Mom, Did you give her a severance package when you laid her off?

thanks for your informative video. If I have to make duplicate patches, but each one has a different person's name on it, can it be done your way or how would I do it please? thank you

Love the patches you maje, and what a fantastic lazercutter!
How much noise does your Happy Japan machines make? And did you do annything to reduce the noise? I live in an old appartement and my single needle makes more sound than I prefer and the thing holding me back buying a multi needle is the sound for the neighbours.
    Have a good day! Greetings

Hi, thank you for your comment. The Happy Japan machines come with noise suppression technology, this was something I took into consideration when I was buying my machine as I live in a semi-detached house and also have neighbours. The newest 12 needle model, the HCS3, is quieter than the previous model but they are still louder than a single needle. I'd compare it to maybe running a vacuum cleaner constantly. I soundproofed a little by carpeting the room and placing the machines on top of some soundproof/foam mats to reduce vibration. But my neighbour does say she can hear my machines through the walls when her house is very quiet, luckily she's not bothered by it and most household noise (TV, radio, generally talking) masks the noise of my machines, regardless it bothers me that she can hear the machines so I'm going to try soundproofing the walls soon.

Is craft felt your preferred medium for patches?
Do you use B-film for patches as well?
    Thanks for the video!

Hi! Yes I embroidery 90% of my patches onto felt as I find it to be a very stable/cheap material to buy. I do use B-Film for some patches but I find B-Film to be quite thread intensive if you're doing 100% stitched onto B-Film. I know you can applique too but I feel like that's adding an unnecessary step, when I embroider onto felt you can just leave the machine unattended and it'll stitch out 5 or 6 patches when appliqueing the machine stops in between each patch waiting for you to tack down the next piece of material

Thanks for your videos. Do you have any videos on your beambox laser cutter? Would love to see how to use it for patches. Is it easy to learn and worth the investment? Have you been happy with it? Thank you
