I bought this nailer used through craigslist & used it to install hardwood floors over plywood in my house with a 6 gallon pancake compressor, and it worked fine for me. if you're not nailing like a maniac, and you take your time, I'd recommend it if you're looking for an inexpensive nailer you know you'll only be using for one or a handful of jobs.
Personally I wouldn't have used a floor nailer for this type of installation 1st the nails might rust and would have used an exterior coated fastener which brings us to 2nd issue outside for the wood will expand and contract more which a screw has more holding power than a flooring nail !!!
You may be right. Time will tell. Screws can easy be added later. The wood went on fairly wet, so it should shink over winter. Gaps that open will close in summer.
Typical , not reading instructions, You are not meant to hit the tool with the metal part of the hammer, it warns you not to do that, the metal section on the hammer was to give weight behind the rubber part,🤔 I was cringing when I seen you marking the part you were hitting with the metal part of the hammer,
