We shouldn't need to have this discusion. ATM cards took the world by storm in a matter of years more than 15 years ago. Banks and credit card companies have no problem figuring out who I am. Surely, we can vote by mail or by electronic means with full varification. This is not rocket science. The problem is political not technically difficult.

Washington State has been vote by mail for many years with no problems. Only red people don’t like it because they can’t win if everyone’s vote is counted.

Stacey, my Dad was born and bred in Laurel, Mississippi. As a child I visited my paternal Grandfather and Southern relatives. I remember a four year old me (from Seattle) being told that I can’t run to the back of the bus because our friends, the black peoples might get in trouble. As I got older I connected with my heritage again and read more about The Great State of Jones. Even before Matthew M’s movie. I started watching you with your first state wide campaign and was so excited about your strategies to get out the vote. My heart broke when I saw pictures of the black citizens returning to their homes with hoses outside the back with raw sewage running free on the back lawn. That for me was so isomorphic of black citizens in the South.

richard rittenhouse, I tried to call them but just cannot get a real human to talk to. It’s machine answering.
There are an array of companies, HR Block, TurboTax, etc. who lobby hard to keep the system of filling taxes as complex as possible. For people who don’t need to itemize there isn’t any reason why we couldn’t just get a tax bill to pay. They tried it once as a trial test in California, people loved it. Of course those that make a profit from the tax preparation industry screamed bloody murder and lobbied against it.
there should be a verifyible way of making mail in voting positvely with out question make secure... too many people showed up to vote and found they voted by ......yeah. the dem party. 96% of them

You are entitled to your opinion, however, voter suppression (especially in GA and other southern states) is a real thing.
I'm from a small 'developing country' in Europe. I vote at a polling place 5 minutes from my house. I never stand in a line of more than 7 people. Inside polling stations, there are separate voting sections with only a couple of thousand voters, to avoid long waits and speed counting up. I show my ID and I'm treated like someone important. And then I'm back home in minutes. In Georgia, people had to stand hours in line, under the sun, with more voters registered by each individual polling station than the whole amount of voters in my city. Third world scenes. There's the greatest Democracy for you. Maybe you could make an effort and read about what has been going on in Georgia, long before Stacey denounced it. And be serious: see the videos and listen before you eject your reflex comments. She knows quite a lot about the different voting processes in America, and you could learn things. Fox News is treating you like a fool and you let them.

I had been afraid for roughly four years that my boat wouldn't count because of Russian interference. Then with covid-19 they started talking about mail-in voting and Trump was so frightened of it that I knew it it must be the only way my vote would count. Now I'm hearing about this signature matching and my signature doesn't always match because my writing doesn't always match. It's not wildly different but could my vote get kicked out because of that now? And when I register to apply for the application, am I going to get a sealed return envelope? I had to stop listening slightly after halfway because now I am completely freaked out again that my vote won't count. I live in a republican stronghold, so maybe I won't have to worry about nonsense going on at the pole, if I go in. So I'm wondering if I should go into vote now. I am also senior citizen with a heart condition and and vulnerable to being around a lot of people. I just had to stop listening because I don't want to hear any more about what's going on create a problem with my voting
