The challenge is how to get the best deal. Contestants meet the dealers who offer cash for an item. The seller must decide whether to accept the guaranteed money or risk fortune or failure in the auction room. Of course, placing one's trust in a positive auction outcome is a gamble in itself! Will they make the right choice?

Don’t give a title of ‘extremely rare’ then give £350, if it was that rare it would be thousands.
Sadly rare doesn't automatically translate into high prices. Something that is the only one in the world, but no one wants it is valueless, while another item that has thousands of copies still around can be worth thousands if there are many people who want it.
At the moment a Sony EV-10 camera, which sells for $700 normally, has been unexpectedly discontinued by Sony due to the chip shortage and suddenly they are selling used for $2,500. Personally I think people are crazy to pay that much, but while not rare, enough people want it for it to be selling for three times its realistic price. Meanwhile I have a camera made in 1888 that is quite rare and is in perfect condition, and I paid $150 for it, and that is the real current value. Go figure.
diamonds are supposed to be rare but yu can buy them everywhere

@@patrickkelly7085 he more than compensates his tense self by one occasional smile, that glitters & brightens the Dickinson gallery. More than that, its not easy to be a chirpy lively chatterbox all the time, its a very long shooting schedule. Perhaps a whole day for a 40 minute stint, even more. Cheers!
I like him but you do know he went to prison for a 4yr sentence for fraud back in his earlier days.
Also greedy man with that pincushion I am actually glad he didn't do well at auction shame felt sorry for the man that wanted to buy it at first he put such a good offer on the table he really wanted to buy it greed doesn't get you anywhere.

I can't believe that someone would do something so disgusting as spitting on his hand before shaking hands. Yuck!!! He wouldn't be shaking my hand, that is for sure.
Spitting on your hand and then shaking was a traditional act for closing a deal back in the early to mid- 20th century in the US. This was before we all became more aware of just how filthy the act was. I would guess it was in Britain too.
@billie-jobenway8658 The 'Spit Handshake' originated around the 14th century in modern day Czechoslovakia. Working class individuals often had dry and callous hands due to hard labour,.
