With how messy the politics and people are in game this is kind of both ironic and fitting that the IP itself is in the middle of a massive legal battle with messy people and messy internal politics. In fairness i dont FEEL like this is a game that could ever have a sequel do it justice. Spin offs or other games taking inspiration of its thought system? Definitely, but I dont think the magic of Harry Dubois and figuring out who he is could ever be caught again.
Yeah I think it shouldn't have sequel but a completely different game which has similar debates in the protagonist's mind. I loved that I just wondered around, a thought came up and it said something like "Hey, don't you think that we should grind the burgeoisie to the ground"😂

Should the sequel be made. I think no, Disco Elysium tells a solid story and is a masterpiece of a modern game. Doing things like truly mixing politics in a really interesting way into a game and telling a solid detective story along the way as well. I thin if Za um wants to make another game, they should try a different story with different characters and if they wanted to set it in the same universe they can but try to move a bit further along the creative end.
