Thank you for this. It is a great help to know how far you have to hike/walk to see some of these amazing sights. Will definitely be using this video as I plan my 2025 trip.
Your 10-day Iceland Ring Road Itinerary is fantastic! It’s great to see your dream of visiting Iceland come true. The detailed day-by-day guide and tips are incredibly helpful for anyone planning their own Icelandic adventure. Your journey looks amazing, especially with all the stunning landscapes and highlights you explored. Really great video and very beautiful footage! Thanks for sharing your experience and making it easier for others to plan their trips!
Thanks for watching and I'm glad it was informative. I tried to keep the amount of 'fluff' to the minimum, otherwise it would end up being a very long video. There are so many amazing places to stop along the Ring Road 🧊
This is a wonderful video you have shared. Very glad you enjoyed. Thank you so much for sharing this. My husband and I are planning to visit towards the end of June 2026 and gathering as much information as possible. We too have booked a camper van. It gives more freedom and is hotel and vehicle in one. Was this visit beginning or end of June?
It's really good that you guys plan ahead as Iceland is going to get busier year on year and good choice on the campervan 👌 We started the trip right at the beginning of June, so Landmannalaugar F-Roads were still closed, hence we booked 2WD camper, not something like Suzuki Jimny or similar. What camper are you guys getting?
I would say it is mainly based on your itinerary. In our case we really wanted to visit Landmannalaugar but we booked our trip in the beginning of June and all of the F-Roads leading there are closed until mid-June anyways. So, we scrapped Landmannalaugar from our itinerary and decided to do it on our next trip to Iceland (along with Westfjords).
I left West Fjords and Landmannalaugar for my next, 4x4 adventure in Iceland :) I'd say you probably need +14 days itinerary to include West Fjords in it, as the roads there are much slower going I imagine.
At the beginning of the June. September is only slightly colder than June, but it won't be as busy as July and August, so it all depends on your travel priorities

On what basis to decide 4*4 vehicle or not?

Why no one is visiting West Fjords? I have to say it was the bast part of Iceland where i was.

When was your trip? Will it be cold in September?
