I'm a huge fan of this video! I love Yubel, but I don't like the way it's mixed with Fieldsmith (and I don't have €300 to spend on those cards). Please, show us more replays, whether it's with this version of the deck or another one. Thank god I wasn’t the only who found the Fiendsmith engine to be unfun at times with Yubel. I love these versions, I’ve learned so much from watching you, can’t wait to try this version out. Also the Gx music was a great touch Im currently rewatching the English sub of Gx on some totally legal sites. I can’t wait to get to the Yubel arc.

What I really understand despite the decklist being less competitive compared to Fiendsmith is the sheer excitement radiating in your face that says it all. I feel the exact same. I love going for the OTK especially with Pain (the opponent always salty saying "what a stupid card") or not caring about wombo comboing (especially against Maxx C in MD) but instead making a minimal board + setting cards then doing reverse OTKs or flipping an offensive Skill Drain so that Yubels can crash into a beatstick.
Yessirrrrr, this is what we've been waiting for I've already gotten my copy of silhouhatte specifically for yubel actually. When Apollousa gets banned you better believe I'm putting that in my deck to replace her frame 1

Also. Silouhatte is very cool and interesting but it's not actually a very hard guess because it just makes a lot of sense. The only reason why I didn't guess it is because I ghaslit myself into thinking it was already in Yubel decks. I love that bunny

Been playing this list on duelingbook and got to say I have had some amazing games from this.. the only problem is it’s propensity to brick or have dead draws but it’s a small price to pay for something that feels so distinct and intresting in this mess of a format. So much fun to pilot and great list!
As someone with zero interest in Fiendsmith Cards, I appreciate videos like this, and looks to be a fun alternative strategy without the usual handtrap suspects. I have a couple of questions however, to garner a better understanding of the Deck and its choices. 1) Do you find yourself missing Handtraps? For that matter, do you even choose to get first if you win the die roll? 2) From my own playing of the Deck, Ash in particular, seems to completely shut down my Combo if its used on Samsara. Is there any advice on what one can do in this situation? Im aware if you can make an early Phantom, that is a way to do so, but im unsure if ive missed something if you got no choice but to try and they just have it. 3) Varudras is here, but the main combo favours silhohatte over it, are there situations where youd go into Varudras over the Rabbit? Again, thanks for the video!
hey! soo.. sometimes, you miss handtraps, yes! this format is really full of risks, even tho you miss handtraps sometimes, you STILL need to get lucky with them to have an effect. im currently testing handtraps and so far its fine but not 100% better than the boardbreaker approach! it really depends on your hand. if you ONLY have 1 samsara, then any handtrap can stop you. if you still have beckoning beast engine, you can go into unchained and maybe even the rabbit! im testing a version WITHOUT fiendsmith in the main but 1 closed heaven, 1 sequence and 1 aerial eater in the extra so that 1 beckoning beast/1 opening is still a good combo! maybe that helps to fight ash. i usually never go into varudras turn1, i always save if for the following turn to either go for game with accesscode together or for the grind game!
Great video as always, I like to see what else the deck can do since it’s very powerful. On another note you seem to always have pendulums on the card search is there something you’re hiding?
I believe there are OCG lists topping with Rabbit even siding the trap monster but i could be wrong. I thought you were really cooking, either for Mannequin (the old Djinn Buster lines but searching golem for Dark Barrier Statue + Chaos Hunter or End of Anubis on demand) or the forbidden guu of Gigantic Spright + Iblee now that Linkuriboh is banned so they can't even crash thanks to Pain. Both cases are literally Dark hole or Droplet against Tenpai or lose, while we don't care about either and Storm is useless. I played this version at locals but with Skill Drain in the main and didn't lose a single game 1 (I believe i left a comment here about it as well as its drawbacks) leading to alot forced OTKs during the opponent's turn. Squirmer even here is a 3off in my opinion, even if you have to go 41. Meanwhile i enjoy 2 Talent 1 Thrust ratio with the addition of a Black Goat since it's great disruption + doesn't lose to removal + excellent discard fodder for Super Poly. With Droplet in your main, i would argue you could run more copies since you have 6 discard outlets and together with Imperm this can easily cook Desirae abusing chains against no response effect since it primarily uses traps (even in Snakes they use Black Goat while Yubel uses Chamber)
funnily enough, i tried all of that! i even tried a version that cheats out the barrier statue turn 1.. i even tried runick yubel! so i cooked a lot but they all felt too gimicky, i just felt most comfortable with the version in the video! and yea, you could be right about squirmer. i really love that card, maybe i will put it up to 3 in the future!

I have a secret mix of eternal with the fiendsmith engine still (and cannon still). Both deck styles got the guu for sure, but i am liking using loving defender still because opponents literally don't expect that
The best deck in yugioh is snake eyes fiendsmith The best version of Yubel is probably also fiendsmith Yubel! But the deck in the video has a lot of upsides and potential, so maybe the gap isn’t even wide!
Interesting approach to switch things up! Whats the route if you just open the beckoning beast/spirit gates seeing that you don't have the means to dump samsara/spirit. Is it just the unchained route?
yep, thats why i cut them down to 2/2, so the chance to ONLY draw them is very low. Thats the biggest advantage of the fiendsmith engine! and also the reason to play 3 Reis map! having access to the yubel engine is essential. i mean if you decide to play handtraps instead of breaker (which im testing rn) rage + escape + yama in GY with handtraps can be very strong!
As a Yubel enjoyer, I'm a huge fan of this video😆. Ive been looking for a balance version of this deck so that my locals can't call me "Meta Slave" (although Yubel suddenly became meta😅). Oh and it's a little bit wierd but what is your thought about Yubel mixing with Kaiju and Lava Golem for OTK going second?

Hmm this actually not bad a look pretty fun to play however if I wanna play a fun version of yubel I just played with scared beast since the card help each other. For example with eternal favourite u can bring back with awaken of the summoning beast if I need to get more card before using Yubel field spell I just grab the sacred beast one to draw 2 and then do some Yubel plays since I can probably summon samsara with open and come with it. But then again it’s very annoying to make since u ether make more than 40 or they barely come up. Also with yubel card u probably get armitlye in turn 1 or 2
I absolutely love it! Didn't thought escape was so versatile at first! Why not play chronicle over eternal fav? It's more versatile and can help going 2nd, I'm not 100% sure if you can manage to get 5 counters. You sure we can't find space in the extra for prospy? I have a hate-love relationship with it since I'm unlucky at drawing, but I lost a couple of times because of map. Personal note: I play 3 Droll for punishing fiendsmith players (and will soon try to find space for 3 kash unicorns). I also play tricorno the cacophonous concert, it's a nice extender and a possible target for throne in case you have everything else (though I will probably cut it😢)
im not a fan of mature chronicle because you rarely will have the ability to search super poly and the reborn effect made it a consideration over eternal favorite BEFORE phantom came out! with phantom and all the shifter decks currently in mind, eternal favorite seems way better! Prosperity is good but in that deck, reis map is a lot better! i wouldnt know what to cut for prosperity and i think you could only go for 3 because even tho we have more space in the ED, the slots are mostly still important! im glad that you like it! and yea, escape REALLY suprised me in testing!
@@TrinityYGOI know since I primarily use it even in the fiendsmith version over Apo and I believe you would have noticed this if you watch other Yubel videos where I try to help newer players writing down combo lines from my spreadsheet. Also I have to agree on Chronicle with the original comment here. Facing Stun (especially Runick) gives it immense value not only because you turn random banishes into free adds but also into a consistent way to double removal on fountain or recycling Yama/Squirmer using both every turn to overwhelm them.
@@babrad i actually dont watch that many other videos! currently im working and 80% of my freetime goes into making videos! so maybe i really missed a lot of it! i knew that escape is really flexible since it was like that back in unchained but i really valued the combo-bility(?) chamber gave us! in that new version that always aims for yama in the GY, its great! and i disagree with the chronicle take! against stun you have to get VERY lucky that chronicles even survives that long and that the stun player lets you play enough to even try that. there are more situations currently present where eternal favorite is just a lot better in my opinion!
Another version I'm curious if you tested is playing airel eater, the fiendsmith link two and closed moon. This turns beast and opening into 1 card griffin phantom boards without opening any yubel cards
Yes I tested it but it took a looooot of extra deck space still and without Desirae and stuff, it felt really weird to include when often times, with Reis map - we still have Yubel plays!

I have discovered a budget version of yubel that lets you bridge between dark beckoning beast and yubel engine and would love to share with you if you ever have the time and interest. I bet that there are a lot of budget players looking for a budget build that functions the same as the fiendsmith version but 300$ cheaper
@TrinityYGO so the requirements for the combo are :dark beckoning and two other cards. So this combo idealy works turn 1 if you brick and don't see any yubel engine. The combo goes like this: -normal beckoning -add gate -add chaos summoning beast -normal beast -link into mini goddess -use gates to revive by discarding 1 -with mini goddess and the other monster you link into fiendsmith sequence -sequence effect to fusion into aerial eater -aerial eater foolish samsara -link into muckracker -muckracker revive Proceed to full combo. No engraver needed. Furthermore this combo gives you an extra lvl 6 fiend to overlay into caesar later on with sharvara. You get fiendlocked but you can still end on phantom, muckracker, gryphon, caesar which also plays really well against boardbreakers(you can survive 2 raigekis with mucracker and yama in grave). Also it opens up the extradeck a bit since you don't need requiem or dies irae Is there a way to contact you in private? I would love to further discuss combos and theories regarding the Yubel deck.
When it comes up - it’s life saving! Maybe try to cut muckraker first? But I think if you really want to and you’re careful with the resources, 2 phantom is 100% fine!
@@Saens406 1. this isn’t the second best deck. Not even fiendsmith Yubel is the 2nd best deck if you go by tournament results. 2. Top meta can be fun, it’s just specifically this current meta I don’t like.

@@TrinityYGOI know since I primarily use it even in the fiendsmith version over Apo and I believe you would have noticed this if you watch other Yubel videos where I try to help newer players writing down combo lines from my spreadsheet.
Also I have to agree on Chronicle with the original comment here. Facing Stun (especially Runick) gives it immense value not only because you turn random banishes into free adds but also into a consistent way to double removal on fountain or recycling Yama/Squirmer using both every turn to overwhelm them.

i knew that escape is really flexible since it was like that back in unchained but i really valued the combo-bility(?) chamber gave us!
in that new version that always aims for yama in the GY, its great!
and i disagree with the chronicle take! against stun you have to get VERY lucky that chronicles even survives that long and that the stun player lets you play enough to even try that.
there are more situations currently present where eternal favorite is just a lot better in my opinion!
Another version I'm curious if you tested is playing airel eater, the fiendsmith link two and closed moon. This turns beast and opening into 1 card griffin phantom boards without opening any yubel cards
Yes I tested it but it took a looooot of extra deck space still and without Desirae and stuff, it felt really weird to include when often times, with Reis map - we still have Yubel plays!

@@simplykenobi i agree but I think we have to, to get access to the Yubel engine! The biggest advantage of the fiendsmith engine, isn’t even the higher ceiling, it’s probably that any 2 monsters = full combo!
can you make a combo list with the budget fiendsmith cards (sequencia and moon)?

I have discovered a budget version of yubel that lets you bridge between dark beckoning beast and yubel engine and would love to share with you if you ever have the time and interest. I bet that there are a lot of budget players looking for a budget build that functions the same as the fiendsmith version but 300$ cheaper

@TrinityYGO so the requirements for the combo are :dark beckoning and two other cards. So this combo idealy works turn 1 if you brick and don't see any yubel engine. The combo goes like this:
-normal beckoning
-add gate
-add chaos summoning beast
-normal beast
-link into mini goddess
-use gates to revive by discarding 1
-with mini goddess and the other monster you link into fiendsmith sequence
-sequence effect to fusion into aerial eater
-aerial eater foolish samsara
-link into muckracker
-muckracker revive
Proceed to full combo. No engraver needed. Furthermore this combo gives you an extra lvl 6 fiend to overlay into caesar later on with sharvara. You get fiendlocked but you can still end on phantom, muckracker, gryphon, caesar which also plays really well against boardbreakers(you can survive 2 raigekis with mucracker and yama in grave).
Also it opens up the extradeck a bit since you don't need requiem or dies irae

But I think if you really want to and you’re careful with the resources, 2 phantom is 100% fine!
I went ahead and got rabbit and statue just because its extremely generic and easy for a negate
its probably my favorite card from infinite forbidden!
Yea I sold my yubel stuff just for this reason not fun to try hardy for my taste

1. this isn’t the second best deck. Not even fiendsmith Yubel is the 2nd best deck if you go by tournament results.
2. Top meta can be fun, it’s just specifically this current meta I don’t like.
