Anyone know were ( if ) I can find the All That Jazz Show from the sixties with The Squadronaires. I was drummer with squads on that show. Bill Eyden was the drummer with the resident Jack Parnell Orchestra. Guesting on the show was new from Australia Frank Ifield. I did catch a glimpse of the Friday night show when we were on a gig somewhere !
Oh to be across the pond and see this on the BBC as a youngster. I've been a fan of British jazz for years. Jack Parnell's big band is a treat. I recognized Don Lusher in the trombone section and until seeing this, was not aware of Eric Delaney, an energetic and enthusiastic presence behind the drum set and swung the hell out of timpani!
So Eric Delaney was apparently an early role model for Keith Moon www.drumlessons.com/drummers/keith-moon/ www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/keith-moon-bites-back-the-who-drummers-rolling-stone-interview-174268/ . Presumably this is pretty typical of what he was seeing Delaney in on TV.
+pap4456 Glad you enjoyed the clip. I listen regularly to WRDV in your part of the world. It's unfortunate that this is the only surviving recording I have of this popular program, which was broadcast in the very early days of (Ampex) videotape recorders. Best wishes - Pete

Yessir, many thanks! And there's good ol' Humph! Passed a few years ago. Great loss. And Jack Parnell! Quite a joker as well as a superb drummer.
Good work. Lovely to be reminded of what was around in the early 60s. Enjoying checking out other postings on your channel.
