    Love your videos so much. I just bought the Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Refreshing Cleanser and the Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil. I plan to use the cleansing oil for when I wear makeup or sunscreen, and then cleanse again with the plum cleanser. At the store where I was buying it, they told me I don’t need to double cleanse with the oil, and that I can only use the plum cleanser for my sunscreen, but I bought the oil anyway cause of everything I’ve read and watched so far. According to you, should I cleanse my face with the oil and then with the plum cleanser on a day when I wear sunscreen, or is the oil really not necessary? I have very sensitive skin. The sunscreens I plan to use are the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics, and the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF 50+/PA++++. Will start testing both of these starting from tomorrow, cause my eyes are very sensitive and I’m still not sure which one will be less irritating to my eyes.
    Also, do you think I should use a moisturizer? Or are these sunscreens moisturizing enough? I got some small bumps and redness on my face when I used the CeraVe facial lotion PM, and now I’m afraid to use any moisturizer. But, I read that maybe it’s a reaction from the niacinemide in it, and that if I continue using it, my skin might clear up. The bumps have redness around them, but they aren’t filled with anything, so from afar it just looks like redness and when I look very closely I can see the small bumps all over my nose and cheeks. There is no itching or any pain. What do you think? Is that a normal skin reaction, should I continue using it?

      Both the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics and the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF 50+/PA++++ come off very easily with water, so an oil cleanser is not needed. However, for certain "heavy" formulations, especially mineral sunscreens with zinc oxide, it can be difficult to remove, which is when an oil cleanser is needed. You could also simply use the oil cleanser on its own to remove it. Just test it and see what you like most! All combinations are possible in this case.
      Reactions can be caused by any ingredient in these formulations, so it’s hard to pinpoint. But generally, no, you do not need a moisturizer; the sunscreens are doing the job! :)

    Thank you, Melissa ❤ How does this sunscreen compare to their Relief Sun Rice. Is it lighter? Non drying, since it's my main concern?

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  6 місяців тому

      I think it is definitely more drying compared to the other sunscreen; that may be because it contains alcohol, which could be one of the reasons for this. But at the same time, it's also a bit shinier. I would say the other one would still be better for you.

    Can you please suggest an oil cleanser for acne prone skin as first step of double cleansing. I tried the face shop rice water bright rich cleansing oil but I'm noticing some white head after using for 2 months

      I would suggest using the Beauty of Joseon Balm Cleanser, which works really well for me. You could also try their Cleansing Oil, but in my experience, the balm is much more effective!

      I really enjoy their skincare products. Still, for my acne, I use my Benzoyl Peroxide cleanser :)

    Hello Melissa, I am a beginner. Can you suggest me a niacinamide serum? Which have 5% niacinamide.

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  6 місяців тому +1

      It's not about being a beginner or a pro; it's more about whether you tolerate niacinamide well or not. Your personal skin sensitivity is what counts.
      5% Niacinamide serums are quite rare, and they often contain many other "irritating" ingredients. Overall, I would recommend simple formulations from The Ordinary, G&G, The Inkey List or Paula's Choice with 10% niacinamide, depending on your budget. The reason is they don't have many ingredients, and therefore, they most often work the best.

      I have acne prone oily skin (specially acne’s on forehead and chin)
      I have started to use Salicylic Acid 1% Toner and Niacinamide 10% serum (as you have suggested) …..
      Can you suggest me a night moisturiser, which will go with the above products? Or a moisturiser that can be use for both Am and Pm .

      @@user-eh5ez9bz5k I actually meant that one, lol. Autocorrect keeps changing it to HA! So, what I meant was The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + Beta Glucan. :) And which serum are you referring to?
